I'm trying to add more personality to the characters I'm bringing in. So, leave me suggestions for what you would like to see in upcoming chapters.

Darkness slowly conceals your frightened figure rocking back and forth by the window. The silence has been killing you for the past few minutes since Mom left for her night shift. You don't feel alone in this house. The curtains covering up the view try to reassure you that no one has gotten inside the house but, of course, your mind begs to differ.

The last thing you need is another friend to get involved with the mess you're in.

The door bell rings repeatedly.
Nichole...

You march over to the door with your legs still shaking. Your frozen hands turn the nob with anxiety and fear,  opening the door.

"Hey! Is this a bad time?" Nichole wraps her arm around a short boy with black hair that covers one of his eyes, and captivating turquoise eyes as blue as the ocean's shore. The boy was wearing a baby blue sweater covered over by a jet black 'Stranger Things' jacket, black jeans and light blue converse.

You didn't want to be rude, so you let her and the mysterious boy inside.
"Who's this you have with you." Your ice cold hands point towards the boy.

"Oh him? This is Vatten Anderson! He's my friend." He shyly waves at you, blushing.

This news hurt you a little, since she's the only friend that has stuck with you like glue.

"It's nice to meet you, Vatten.
I'm (y/n)."

Vatten smiles slightly and begins to examine you closely. Almost as if he knew...

"I'm sorry about yesterday..." Nichole whispered.
You nod with sympathy.

Suddenly, Nichole lets go of Vatten and rushes over to the fridge yelling, "FOOD!" She searches through your fridge like a madman, while throwing out all of your packs of fruits and vegetables.

Vatten watches with his head tilted like he was saying, 'Has she always been like this?"

Nichole then finds your most prized possession. Your king sized pack of (favorite candy).

"Put.the.bag.down." You walk over and place your nerf gun into her skull.

She smirks with mischief in her soft, tropical green eyes and raises her hands. The bag drops of the ground.

You walk back to Vatten with a satisfied expression stuck on your face.
He was very confused at this point.

Nichole closes the fridge and turns on 'Cartoon Network'.
Rude.
Vatten and you shrugged and sat down on the gray couch with her.

About 10 minutes pass as the actual show begins to play.

"We..."

The Grandfather Clock's chimes loudly rung from the master bedroom.
11:11 p.m
The clock read.
It was the bewitching hour.

...

The Television switched off...

Static noise was all that came from the speakers.

"I know y-you c-c-can he-e-ear me"

"I-I'm AlWAyS wATcHiNg!"

The memorable chuckle continued to ring in your eardrums.
The world was drifting away before your (e/c) eyes.
Thump
Thump
Thump

Your heart felt as if it would rip out of your chest.
Sweat continuously dripped down your face with fear.
The noise was too overbearing too handle you think you might pass ou-

"(Y/n)." Vatten's soft voice whispers as he gently taps your shoulder.

The Television was still on, playing Steven Universe, 'Maximum Capacity.'
Nichole was fast asleep next to Vatten.

"Are you okay?" Vatten whispers with concern.

"Y-yeah. I'm fine." Tears unintentionally fell down your cheeks.
You've been strong for too long to hold them back.

What surprised you is the fact that Vatten didn't care what you were going through. Instead, he shyly stole a hug from you.
