I'm back! I was watching 'Wonder' earlier and WOAH! It was good, but please bring tissues because it has a lot of feels and talks about real life problems. So...yeah! Also, I did a lot of research for this chapter because I have never gotten surgery before.

"It's going to be okay..."

I'm I dead?
I'm I alive?

I can't even tell the difference anymore.

It's so dark even my retinas can't even make an outline of anything. Except, a silhouette of a feminine figure holding the handles of something metal. You tried to reach out for her, but your body seems to be frozen. The only thing you can do is listen.

"Doctor Andrews! Do you have any idea what this is?"

"...be okay?"

"...passed out at the Marines' manor"

"...virus?"

Finally, your eyes open slowly and your ears register the full amount of noise in the room. Heart monitor, nurses talking amongst each other, and an oxygen tank whistling were the missing pieces.

"Oh! I'll go get a doctor!" A nurse runs out the room to another hallway. You begin to examine yourself, finding many IV tubes poked into your arm and a small oxygen mask uncomfortably squishes your cheeks. The other nurses still in the room ignore your presents and continue to disregard the fact that they should be tending other patients.

The nurse returns with a 6 foot man with a name tag, 'Dr. Andrews' clipped to his trench coat. Mr. Andrews steps in front of the nurse and clears his throat.

"Hello, Mr./Ms. (L/n). I am Dr. Andrews and I will be taking care of you this evening...or should I say morning," The man chuckles awkwardly. After a few seconds he then takes off the oxygen mask. Dr. Andrews starts to right something down on a clip board as you stare off into space.

You figured it made sense that it was morning because it was around midnight when you...passed out? All you remember was showing up to the party and dancing with Nichole...wait. Nichole!

"Mr.?" Your voice ached.

"Yes?" He replies but he does not look up from his clipboard. "W-where's Nichole?"

"The nice lady that brought you here? Well, she is currently at her house waiting to be called up to St. Bernard's Hospital." You nod slightly.

The nurse fidgeting behind him spoke up. "Should I call her up?"

"That would be most kind of you, yes." She then leaves the room.

Dr. Andrews finally places the clipboard on the counter and turns his attention to you. "My employees and I have discovered that something was found inside of you..." He pulls out a small testing beaker filled with a dark lavender and forest green substance swimming inside.

"This is what we believe to be a virus that has been invading your body for quite a while, in fact, it took us about 11 hours just to get it out of your system." His eyebrows raised.

"We believe the side effects to this virus are dizziness, hallucinations, lack of communication..." Dr. Andrews voice begins to fade off into another world as the substance inside the beaker. A high pitched giggle echoed through your mind the closer you stared at the beaker. You leaned in a little bit closer...and closer...and clos-

A face. A face of a man with dark green hair and pitch black eyes stares back at you, with a wide grin. "I-I_m A-lWaYs WAt&ChInG!" The transparent figure chuckles. He then disappears and your attention turns back to Mr. Andrews who was clearly disappointed that you weren't paying attention.

"Are you alright, Mr./Ms. (L/n)? You seem very pale!" He folds his hands together respectfully.

"Yes, sir...I was just thinking about something." You swallowed your fear deeply. "Just be safe, okay? A lot of terrible stuff has happened around here." What?

The nurse walks back into the room with the familiar orange-haired girl and your mom.

"Honey! I'm so sorry, sweetie." Mom squeezes you tightly in her soft and warm hold. "I'll make sure to get here sooner." She apologies.

"It's okay, mom," you forgive her with a small smirk. Nichole pulls you off the hospital bed, onto the hard, cold floor.
"Thanks for everything!" She yells.
