Chapter 14

Eddie
"WAKE UP ASSHOLES!" James yelled at Aleks and myself
I opened one eye and saw that Aleks flipped off James
"Come on man, seriously, check your phone it's been going off nonstop."
"Huh? OH SHIT AVERY!" Aleks exclaimed as he fell out of bed and ran to grab his ringing phone.
"Hey babe. Why am I panting? Because I just woke up and ran for the phone. Dani? I have no idea where she is." Aleks said as he gave James and I a thumbs up
I slowly got out of bed and went to the bathroom to get ready
I finished getting ready and walked out of the bathroom to see Aleks back in bed, gripping onto the bed post and James pulling his legs
"K yeah, it's way too early to deal with this." I said as I grabbed my phone and a beanie and left to go find Jordan

James
"Why don't you go irritate Seamus and Dani?" Aleks mumbled into his pillow
I dropped Aleks' legs and walked to the door
"Good idea!"
I took out their room key and opened the door
"WAKEY WAKEY! IT'S DAY TWO OF PAX!" I yelled opening the door
Dani sat up on their bed and Seamus had bed head and was wrapped in blankets
"You're not naked are you?" I said as I lifted up one of my eyebrows
Seamus rolled his eyes and got out of bed
"Go ahead and meet up with the rest of the guys Dani, I'll wait for sleeping beauty."
"Okay, see ya guys later." Dani said as she stood up, grabbed her wallet and phone, gave me a quick hug, then left.

Dani
I left James and Seamus to go meet up with everyone else. I'm so tired. I need coffee. I walked to the lobby and the guys were there.
Eddie was standing up so I jumped on his back
"Guess who." I said covering Eddie's glasses
"Hm...Norman Bates."
"Yup, you're correct." I jumped off Eddie's back and hugged him and the rest of the guys
"Where to for breakfast?" Jordan asked without looking up from his phone
"Coastal Kitchen? They're pretty good." I suggested
"Yeah sure." The guys agreed
We waited until Seamus and James came and then left
I got into the car with James, Jordan, and Aleks.
"So, how was the couch?" Aleks whispered
"Lumpy." I lied as I cracked my back to add emphasis
"Fun."
"Did Avery call you this morning-"
"To make sure I wasn't sleeping in the same room as you? Yup. You think she'd be used to you already."
"She'll hate me forever."
"She doesn't hate you."
I raised my eyebrow at Aleks and titled my head towards him "Really?"
"I'm being a hundred percent honest." Aleks said as he shot me a poker face
"Okay, mhm, sureee." I said as I smirked and replied to a text message from Kevin
We got to the restaurant which was fairly loud, probably people getting a quick bite to eat then going Christmas shopping. Which reminds me, I need to do that for the guys
I sat next to Eddie and across of Seamus
We all ordered our food
"Oh and can we get seven cups of coffee please?" Jordan asked the waitress
"Okay, that'll be right out." The waitress said
We made small talk until our food arrived
Halfway through breakfast Kevin texted me again "Sleep over tomorrow night?"
I smiled down at my phone and began to respond
"No phones at the table young lady." Jordan said as he wagged his finger at me
I put my phone under my thigh "Sorry dad."
We finished eating and messed around in town for a while
That was until Aleks and I saw a Camaro that was yellow with black racing stripes on it, otherwise known as a Bumble bee.
"STOP THE CAR!" Aleks yelled as he and I opened our doors and ran to the car
"TAKE OUR PICTURE DAN!" I yelled throwing him my phone
Dan took a few pictures for us then we left to go to PAX
"I want a car just like that." I said as I uploaded a picture of me and my future car on Instagram
We got to PAX and it was even more congested than yesterday
Today was a 'loitering' day for us since we didn't have a panel we were just going to be there; tomorrow we have a panel... I think.
I was walking around with Eddie when I saw a girl wearing a 'Dani is my favorite Creature' shirt.
She was talking to her friends so I walked up behind her and whispered "I love your shirt."
She turned around with a confused face and that slowly turned into joy
"Oh my god! Hi!"
"Hey!" I said saluting with my index and middle finger
The girl tried to start many sentences, but failed and settled with "Can you sign my shirt?"
I nodded and signed her shirt
"Have a fun day." I said as I hugged the girl and then walked back to Eddie. "I love doing that." Eddie said as he motioned to the girl with his eyes
"Sorry for not hanging out with you yesterday, I just ran into so many people I knew and-"
"No! Don't even worry, that's how I felt too, I was actually going to apologize."
"Eddie! Dani!" Kevin called
"Hey!" I said as I hugged him
"What's up man?" Eddie asked as he hugged Kevin
"Nothing, just loitering."
"Then come loiter with us." Eddie said as he linked all our arms and began to skip down the hallway.
We skipped around linked together, but it wasn't long before someone recognized Eddie and asked for his signature.
"Did you get my text?" Kevin asked
"Yeah, Jordan, I mean my dad," I used my fingers as quotations around the word dad "told me to put my phone away at breakfast, but yeah tomorrow night sounds perfect. It can be like old times again.
"Well, not exactly like old times, there's something that's not going to happen." Kevin said with a wink
I blushed and elbowed his hip
"So it's going to happen?!" Kevin asked excited
"No! That's not going to happen-"
"Oh! So something is going to happen!"
I paused for a few seconds then thought of what to say
"Sure Vin, whatever you want." I said sarcastically
After Eddie finished signing stuff we met up with Seamus and Dan. Dan was recording and Seamus was talking. Eddie jumped in front of Seamus
"Hey homies!"
"And now Sly with the weather." Dan narrated "And there's Dani and Kevin."
"Hey loves." Hey daniguins."
"So today we are just walking around and making people feel uncomfortable." Dan narrated
"Well, that's working already." Eddie said as he made an irritated face and Seamus was trying to lick him
"Do we have a panel tomorrow?" I asked
"Yes...? I'm pretty sure we do." Dan said

It was near the ending of day two of PAX when a voice spoke through the speaker
"Attention all PAX goers, we are very sorry to say that due to overbooking today will be the last day of PAX. We are very sorry for inconvenience and refunds will be held in the front. Again we are very sorry."
"Has that ever happened before?" I asked the guys
"Nope, but this is the first year you're here so maybe there's a connection." Seamus suggested
"Thanks for that." I said as I glared at Seamus
"So does that mean you can spend the night tonight?" Kevin asked
"Yeah sure!"
We stayed until PAX was officially over
"So I'll pick you up later."
"Yup!" I gave Kevin a quick hug then walked to the car with the guys
"So! You're ditching us to sleep at Kevin's house?" James asked
"Oh come on, we're not even in the same room and yeah, we have things to catch up on and talk about."
"Just talk?" James asked towering over me
"Yes, just talk, nothing is going to happen."
"Sureeee."
We got back to the hotel and I packed a little bag with clothes and my hygiene stuff
"Where are you going? Is sharing a room with me that bad?" Seamus asked as he changed the channel
"Yes, it's so bad I'm running away."
"Okay, have fun."
I told Seamus goodbye and went to go wait in the lobby
Kevin pulled up and I threw my stuff in the back and sat in the passenger seat
"Oh my god, I have not seen you in forever." Kevin said
"I know right!"
The rest of the drive was quiet, with the exception of the soft music coming from the radio.
During the ride we held hands. It was really nice; he even did his thing where he rubbed his thumb over my thumb and knuckles.
We got to a beach that we used to hang out at
We sat on the rocks and stared out into the ocean
It was way too cold, this time of year to go in, even to walk around the shore
"I miss the sound of crashing waves." I said as I pulled my legs up to my chest, rested my arms on them, and rest my chin on my arms.
"Do you remember what happened here?"
"Of course, I met you here. I wanted to swim but I heard this guy yelling at me." I cleared my throat and cupped my hands around my mouth "Hey idiot! You're gonna get hypothermia!"
Kevin started laughing "And you yelled back 'So?!' Then jumped into the water, screamed, and then ran out of the water."
"Yeah yeah, thanks for bringing that part up."
"No problem." Kevin said with a smile
I lightly shoved him with my shoulder and he did the same to me
I was going to shove him again, but a huge wave came and crashed over both of us
We looked at each other and started laughing
Kevin had seaweed on his head and I felt something on my head
Kevin picked it up and showed it to me, a little fish
I picked up a little kelp that was on Kevin's head
"You should keep it, it's a good look on you."
"Same to you sushi head." Kevin said as he stuck his tongue out to me
We started laughing and then it started to drizzle
"We better go, it's going to pour in seconds. Race ya!" Kevin yelled over his shoulders as he ran towards his car.
"No fair!" I tried sprinting to the car, but Kevin was already there
"I guess I win." Kevin said as he leaned against his car
"Yeah yeah, you did."
"You know what that means. I get the shower first."
Anytime we made a bet the winner would get the shower first
We got to Kevin's and a few changed, but nothing major.
Kevin led me to his room then went to the bathroom
I threw myself on his bed and began to think
'I need to tell Kevin. I love him, so much, it, it can't be put into words; I love him more than a brother, and even more than a lover, or a boyfriend. I don't know. We have too many memories. I love the memories and I love the present with Kevin. If the guy I like and I ever get together, or if I get into another relationship, that guy needs to understand that he's not the only love in my life. Kevin, he's the guy who showed me what love was like, how you should be able to feel comfortable with yourself and who you are, and so many other things.'
How do I bring it up?

Kevin
I threw a towel over my head and dried my hair
I wrapped a towel around my waist and walked to my room
I walked in and Dani was sitting on my desk looking through my CDs
"You still have my mix CD I made you. I still have yours." She said as she shuffled through more CDs
"Go shower sushi girl."
"Yeah yeah."
When Dani left I looked at the CDs she was looking at. Most of these CDs were from Dani, most of my music was on my phone or iPod, but Dani insisted that I need CDs because one day they'll stop making them and what I have will be worth millions. The mind of Dani.
She must think I'm not over her, I am, I think.
I sat on my desk chair and put my head in my hands
'I'm over Dani. We have so much history, we can't ignore that, no one can. Daniella and I were together for six years. We learned together what love was. Dani and I both taught each other what love was. Yes. I love Daniella Maria de Leon Sanchez, but I'm over her. I love her more than anyone or anything. I've been in a few relationships after Dani, but nothing was special like our relationship. It's strange, I love Dani, but more than a friend, definitely more than that. More than a girlfriend, and more than lover. How do I explain this to her without sounding weird?'
I took out Dani's CD and put in a random one.
I took off my towel and put on a pair of boxers just in time, because Dani walked in
"Can I talk to you?"
"No." I said as I sat on my bed and pulled her into me
"It's sort of serious." Dani said as she turned in my lap and looked up to me "You know how I told you I liked that guy? Well, I do like him, but I love you Kevin. I know it sounds like I'm not over you, but I am, but I just can't shake that feeling of 'love.' The love I feel though, it's not like when we were together though, it feels like a high level. You outweigh everyone."
My eyes widened at what she said. There's no possible way she could have read my mind, and I did not say that out loud.
"H-how did you know I was thinking that?"
"You feel the same way?"
"Yeah, I mean I understand what you mean about the outweighing everyone because that's what you do for me. I mean I'm completely over you, but the feeling of love towards you, it will never go away."
I wrapped my arms around Dani and pulled her into me then kissed the top of her head
"I feel bad for whoever dates us." Dani said as she wrapped her arms around me
"Why?" I asked resting my head on hers
"Because they'll have to understand that we love them, but love our first love still."
I smirked and kissed the top of her head again
