Finding Love (Jean X Marco)

Just Friends?

Fast forward to the weekend...

JEAN'S POV
Instead of going to his house over the week, we decided to go to the movies Saturday. We wanted to see Love, Simon (A movie that comes out March 16, 2018). Pretty sure Marco picked it and it's about a guy that is trying to figure out his sexuality, at least I think. We are supposed to meet at the mall so I'm getting ready to leave. I put on khaki skinny jeans with Nike shoes and a blue sweatshirt because it was kind of rainy outside. I had to do my hair then I was ready to go, it was almost 1:30 and we both had to be there by 2:10.

MARCO'S POV
        I finished eating lunch and it was about 1 o'clock. My mom shouted, "Shouldn't you get ready for your date." "Yes mom but it's not a date!" My mom walked down the stairs and said, "Whatever you say." I ran upstairs and changed into blue skinny jeans and a striped long sleeve shirt with high top converse. I looked in the mirror,  "Ooh, I look good." My mom walks by and says, "Yes, perfect for your date." I just roll my eyes. I then brush my hair but not to much so it still has that "messy look." I had a lot of time to spare so I just went into the living room to watch tv. It was about 1:55 when I looked at my phone so I yelled up to my mom, "love you, bye" and took her car out to the mall to meet...Jean!

JEAN'S POV
      When I parked in the parking lot it was almost down-pouring so I jumped out of my car and ran inside. I saw Marco standing there smiling at me, he said, "You made it just in time." I smiled and said, "Oh what were you going to do about it." He rolled his eyes and said "Maybe someday you'll find out." I said, "I think Marco is too nice to do anything and someone has attitude today." Marco rolls his eyes again and we both laugh. Then Marco gets in line to buy the tickets. The ticket lady asked, "How many tickets?" Marco said two and began to pay but I interrupted and whispered that I would pay but he insisted he did. So instead I bought us a popcorn and a drink to share because umm things cost a lot today.  We went in and picked seats right in the middle. There was not a lot of people because we came a week after it came out. We talked and ate popcorn until the lights went dim. The movie started and it was pretty good. We didn't really talk during the movie. I stuck my hand in the popcorn the same time he did and we brushed hands. I tried to act as if nothing happened and continued watch the movie but I saw Marco, blush? Eh but he blushes a lot probably from embarrassment.

MARCO'S POV
     I brushed hands with Jean... and I blushed probably a little more than I should have. I tried to look away without it being noticeable. Things kind of got awkward between us when some different scenes came on. After the movie was over I really had to use the bathroom considering I drank most of the soda. "Jean!! I really have to pee!" Jean laughed and said "Oh my, go to the bathroom then." I laughed and said, "Okay, I'll be right back." I went in and used the bathroom as fast as I could and washed my hands after obviously. I came back out and looked for Jean which he was standing at the door. Jean looked worried. I said "What's wrong?" Jean said, "It's really bad outside, look!" I looked outside, it was flooding and a tree fell over. Jean said, "We should probably wait it out, I don't want us to get in an accident." I said, "Yea, that's probably best, do you want to go look around." Jean answered, "Sure let's go to FYE." He took my wrist and practically dragged me there.

JEAN'S POV
When we got to FYE I heard Marco talking to me about something. "Wow, look at this spider man shirt!" I laughed, "Marco! That's iron man, not spider man." He looked embarrassed but laughed, "Oh, my bad." I looked around a little more and bought a really nice hat after the show Flash. I asked Marco if he wanted to go to a certain store. "Hey, do you want to go to a different store?" Marco smiled, "Yes, can we go to American Eagle, I want to buy skinny jeans." I shook my head up and down, "Lead the way." We walked fast through the mall to American Eagle. When we got in there he looked so excited at the first pair of skinny jeans he saw. I started laughing. Marco looked at me confused, "What!" I responded, "Nothing, you just looked cu... I mean really excited." He then giggled kind of funny. He went back to looking around but it looked like blushed right before. He probably noticed that I almost said cute, which I did maybe mean but I don't think he would like me like that and I'm not sure I do. He asked me to sit outside of the dressing rooms so he could show me the clothes he wanted. He came out in like 1 minute, "You change really fast", "Well, how do I look?" I smiled, "The jeans looks good."

MARCO'S POV
     I was really excited to get new skinny jeans in American Eagle. We walked fast there after FYE. I heard Jean laugh at me when we got in. I was confused, "What!" I said. He said, "Nothing, you just looked cu... I mean really excited." I kind of giggled because I swear he was going to say cute, which maybe he likes guys or me?? Well either way I blushed but looked away because I don't want him knowing I'm gay yet. I'll definitely tell him soon though. I tried on my clothes in the dressing rooms while Jean waited outside. I showed him every outfit and he said I looked good, well or so the outfit. I finished and we were about to go to the register but the power went out in the mall. I tripped over the chair in the dressing rooms and fell on top of Jean. Number 1 this couldn't have been any more embarrassing of a day for both of us. Number 2 I was on top of Jean!!!! "Jean! Are you okay!?" Jean whispered back "Yea, are you?", I could still see his face especially since I was like 2 inches away from it. We stared at each other and I really wanted to kiss him. I decided not to but instead got up and held a hand out to him. He took it and got up. The lights were still dark out and the employees got out flashlights. Jean and I got our phone flashlights so we could see. The employees started saying the backup generator should turn on in a couple of minutes. We just sat in the dressing rooms until it did. My mom called me. Star called Jean so we were both on the phone explaining we'll be back and apparently my mom and Jeans dad are together along with Star at my house. It was almost 7 o clock when the generators did turn on. A little longer then expected.

JEAN'S POV
The lights went out and all of a sudden Marco fell on top of me. My head hit the ground a little hard but when Marco asked if I was okay, I lied because I didn't want him to be worried. I wanted to kiss him which now I was sure I liked him. I didn't really know I was gay?! He just stared into my eyes then it became awkward. He got off of me and offered me his hand. I took it to help me get up and I had a somewhat of a headache. Everyone got there flashlights out and the generator was supposed to come back on in a few minutes. So we sat and waited. Star called me and it looked like Marco's mom called him. Star asked if we were okay and I said we are fine. She told us to be safe when coming home and I explained we'll be back soon. The generators took quite a long time to come back on.
