C6: Unknown Connections

The lads immediately left after breakfast for rehearsals.

I had to admit that the house felt quiet when they left. Aunt Karen and I were the only ones left. Liam's other sisters were out of town for the whole summer. Their dad was at work. Allie was at Trina's house, our neighbor who's her playmate. We just stayed in the living room and looked at some old pictures when my cousin, Liz, came.

Liz was another childhood friend. How she looks like? Almost exactly like me except some features but we look pretty similar. We only had different color, 'cause she was blonde, she had smaller eyes, just a bit, and other smaller details that didn't make us identical. When we were young, others even thought we were sisters.

I was so happy when she came that we hugged so tight.

"Can I borrow my twin for a day, Aunt Kar? We'll just go to the mall! I promise to not lose her here." she asked with puppy dog eyes.

"Hmm. Okay. Just take really good care of other." Aunt Karen replied.

"Yay!!" she shrieked.

"I'll just get dressed then we roll!" I told her.

Liz drove us to the mall and told me so much stories about these British bands she loved so much, fashion icons who she followed and 5SOS.

"Oh, speaking about popular people, did you know that James is Liam from One Direction?!" I said with my eyes really wide.

"Of course, luv! I've been to some shows too! I call dibs on the leprechaun." she said with eyes still focused on the road but still managed to smirk.

"Huh?" I was confused which one.

"Niall. Hehe." she replied.

"Ohh! 'Cause he Irish.. kaaaay." I said.

"Who's your pick?" she asked.

Hmmm. Who IS my pick?

"Don't really have a favorite. They're all pretty cool." I said to be safe.

She just nodded.

We went to Starbucks to hang. We got our drinks already but it was really crowded and some people were already sharing tables so we decided to do the same. There was only one table left. There was a lady seated alone. Liz talked to her and she agreed. She looked really nice and lovely but I really couldn't see that much of her face since she had sunglasses on and a magazine that covered her face.

When we were finally settled on our seats, we talked about random stuff. Liz is a really loud person and said something about Abercrombie's summer collection. The lady put down what she was reading..

and said, "Sorry to butt in but I overheard your conversation about this new collection? Are you sure it's out? I've been waiting since forever!" she said with so much interest.

"Naah, it's fine. And YES, it just came out this morning!!" she said excitedly.

"I should get there soon!!" she said while removing her glasses and taking a sip on her frappe.

Liz suddenly got so excited. "OMG. You!!!! Oh my freaking feathers!!!!!!! I love you so much, you just don't know how much! You're so so pretty in person!"

I looked around and everyone stared at Liz occasionally but would just carry on. There were so many people that no one really focused on Liz's noise.

I was confused. Is this lady a celebrity? A fashion icon? Who is she? A supermodel?

The girl just giggled and managed a, "thanks!"
