"Are you sure you are going to be okay Si?" My mum asked as I laughed.

"Mum for the fifth time I will be fine. This is what I want to do. If anything goes wrong I will call you and dad right away." I said as both my mum and dad smiled towards me.

"Okay, just call us when you get settled in. Don't be afraid to call us whenever, we are barely ever busy." My mum said giving me a hug.

"I love you mum." I said into her shoulder as she held me close inside the hug.

"I love you too Si." She said as she pulled away.

I saw tears starting to swell up in her eyes. She just smiled and turned away going back into the car. My dad and I both laughed at that and then my dad gave me his last goodbyes.

"You better call your mother or she'll go insane. She already has both Johnny and Nick off at Uni and the fact that you have gone away for your final year is killing her." He said as I laughed.

" I promise to call as much as I possibly can. I love you dad." I said as he smiled and hugged me.

"I love you too." He said letting go and waving goodbye.

He soon got in the car and they pulled away from the school that I was going to be staying at for the next year of my life.

Cornwall School of Arts. My dream school. Everything I have dreamed of all put up into one.

Cornwall, as said in the name, is a school for musical and artistic prodigies. Some people have been here for the past four years others are like me and are only going for a year. The thing that makes us all the same is our love for music and art.

The first time I signed up was at the end of secondary school and my hopes for a new beginning. Sadly I was declined, but that didn't stop me from following my dreams. I ended up getting lessons and learned how to play the guitar on the way. I am actually a singer and I would like to say I'm pretty decent. I know other people are a lot better than I ever will be, but I consider myself exceptional.

I don't know what I really expect from this school, but no matter how it goes I know it will be one of the greatest years of school ever.

"Hey you must be new. I know that look of complete and utter shock. I'm Ethan." A boy a lot shorter than me said.

He was a rather large boy, not fat but not skinny. Almost built but not muscularly. He had bright blue eyes, a lot brighter and full of joy than mine have ever been. He had a humongous smile that was contagious and a pep in his step that just added to his whole look.

"Yeah...I'm Simon. It's my first day and I don't really know where to go." I said as he smiled.

"Let me see your card." He said as I handed him my school card that had my student ID and room number on it.

He glanced down at it as the biggest smile spread across his face.

"What?" I asked puzzled as to why he was smiling like that.

He started to laugh the most boisterous laugh that I have ever heard making me want to laugh. I could tell that something was up, but at that moment I just felt like laughing.

"We're roommates." He said in a cheer as we both just laughed together.

I could see everyone else giving us glares but I truly didn't care. I could already tell this year was going to be the greatest year yet.
