Have you ever heard cackling outside your window? Have you ever seen a shadow flicker through the night leaving a chill running down your spine... if you have... your probably next...

Once on a Halloween night there was a small house at the end of the street. The darkest house of all. The last one on little bobby's trick or treating list. He slowly made is way towards it, the houses loomed over him like deathly shadows. Some where deep within the night he heard the hollow cackling of the towns witch.

The small house stood infront of him. He heard wordless whispering from the dark next to the house. His knocking on the rotten Wood of the sickly green door echoed through the dark. A shiver ran down his spine as no one answered, the whispering growing louder and louder with each passing second. A cold hand brushed his face. His breathing stopped in fear as hollow footsteps made their way towards him.

He slowly stepped backwards deciding to run, the footsteps grew louder and faster with each step he took. A low hiss came from his side drawing his attention. The glowing green eyes of a black cat followed him like a hawk, watches his pry. Little Bobby started to panick and ran off. He looked back seeing the cat follow behind him. It stayed in the shadows its eyes not leaving the scared child.

Once in his house again he recalled a horribly hoarse whisper screaming your next as he ran away.

The next night his mother woke up at the sound of the kitchen drawer opening, stumbling through the door she saw little Bobby holding a knife to his wrist about to scrape the flesh from his arm "Bobby what are you doing?!" she yelled out rushing over to him and taking the knife from his small hand. He stared up at her cluelessly. Not knowing what he was doing.

His mother took him back to her bed and let him sleep beside her. Little Bobby sunk into a deep restless sleep filled with horrible dreams of him being boiled like a egg...

For days it went on, little Bobby waking up to his mother telling him it's okay and nothing's going to happen when one night while walking home from the house across the street he saw a flash of the evil green eyes of the cat that had followed him home on Halloween night.

He felt compelled to follow the enchanting eyes.

His skin was tingling. He followed the cat with glowing eyes.

Completely unable to control his own movements.

His mother, who had been on the porch followed after him calling his name confused.

She grabbed his hand before he could climb the rotting stairs of the old cabin.

She looked up and felt her breath caught in her throat. Like metal getting pulled by a magnet.

The darkness of the house had her enchanted. As if she was under a spell.

A cackle rang out through the air but it went unnoticed by her...

The steps creaked lowly under her feet as the rotten door slowly opened and hollow footsteps led them into the complete darkness...

Never to be seen again...

In the dark of night
The cackling of a witch will take your might
Beware the glowing green eyes
That will lead you to your demise
