* Chapter 11 *
~ Jairoh's POV ~
Ugh, my head fricking hurts. The image of the lifeless body last night won't be erased on my mind.
"Hey" Anton slung his arm around my nape.
"Dude" I acknowledged him.
"I had a nightmare about the body last night" he blabbed.
"I know what you mean" I said.
"My innocent mind is forever scarred"
I chuckled at that statement.
"What? You got a problem with that statement?" he glared at me.
"What? No" I grinned.
"I hate you sometimes, you know?"
"Sure you do" my grin grew wider.
"Ehem, excuse me boys"
Me and Anton turned behind us at the same time.
"Ugh" Anton groaned at the person.
"Um... Hi, Inspector Maurer" I greeted with fake enthusiasm.
"Hi, Mr. Basquez" he greeted back with equal vigor.
"Um, we're heading to class" I said nervously.
"Sure, go ahead" he replied with an obvious fake smile.
I didn't waste any time and immediately grabbed Anton's hand then dash away from the inspector.
"What is it?" My best friend asked me warily.
"I don't know but that guy gives me the creeps" I admitted.
"He is a creep, there's no denying" Anton commented.
