Thunder clapped followed by red lightning. Children screamed and dogs barked as people rushed to get in doors. It was the year 3075 and America was bragging about its weapon industries causing truces to fall with other countries due to worry. However, all this was forgotten on the day of the apocalypse. The lightning, red as blood was the least of the people's worries when they saw a hole rip through the sky like fabric. Everyone froze where they stood gaping at the sky. Naturally, some of the more religious folk figured it was god taking his rage out on them. The hole in the sky kept growing until finally the sky was dark as night. People gaped at the phenomenon and marveled as little orbs of magic flew by like dark snow. Rubble from the streets floated slowly to the void above. People were filming and taking pictures constantly. Suddenly, the void started to collapse as figures that looked like humans were soaring toward the ground. Police and other militia that had gathered frantically tried to get help for the figures falling. After about ten minutes of the beings falling they smashed down on Earth cracking the streets beneath them.
Many of the people that had fallen had looked exactly like humans but about half wich looked like gargoyles mixed with other creatures of a nightmare. The police and soldiers heard the thuds and sprinted to the scene. As they turned the corner they saw, not a gruesome sight, but thousands of beings standing with weapons of old, half led by a man who had an aura that made the people feel happy inside. Unfortunately, the feeling was gone when they looked at the other half where a man stood wearing a wicked grin.
"That man looks like Lucifer himself." One of the soldiers shuddered. All the soldiers backed away, disappearing behind the buildings. Now there was only the man and the demon.
"Now, let us negotiate." Said the man as he approached the soldiers.
"W-wait we don't even know who or what you are!" Stuttered a rather scrawny policeman in front.
"Oh where are my manners!" Apologized the man, "I am Munk and the handsome man behind me is my brother, Khaos. My men that just left to hunt down your people are all Caraculla. We are a superior race from the planet Terakah. Our Main goal here is to conquer you, which we shall do in a matter of days. You see, our planet is of the purest in the universe but we have grown to overpopulate it Because we have such long life-spans." The General that was leading the troops shifted,
"Do you really think you can just come to Earth and conquer it with mere weapons of the renaissance?" A knife flew and lodged itself at the back of the general's throat. The troops just froze in surprise but whipped their guns out when they heard screams from behind the buildings.
"Fire at will!" bellowed the lieutenant that replaced the fallen general. None of the troops had one bullet fired before Khaos destroyed the ground beneath them sending them screaming into an abyss below. A building collapsed behind Munk.
"Guys! Calm down! We still need these materials." Khaos was nearly invisible as he sunk into the shadows of the buildings.
"I suppose." Munk smiled,
"Let's make this quick."
In a matter of days the human race was wiped from existence besides a few in hiding. The humans were at the peak of weapon industry with enough nukes to cover every square foot of America. To the humans, ready for anything. A world divided against itself will never be prosperous. This was the human's fatal mistake.
Munk and Khaos sat in a their castle, drinking red wine. Munk downed his glass in one drink,
"Well my brother let us conserve our -hic- spoils of war and not finish them in one day."
"What are you talking about Munk. I haven't even had a glass. How wasted are you right now?" Munk hiccuped,
"I don't know. Like a three," Khaos's eye twitched,
"What is that supposed to mean! I'm done!" he picked up an empty bottle of scotch and smashed it over Munk's head. He just hiccuped and blinked as Khaos stormed off, bringing a bottle of vodka with him. A curly-haired woman walked past,
"Come here slave!" Munk shouted at the woman. "Excuse me my lord?" Munk, "You are -hic- pretty for a human." The woman blushed,
"Uh thanks?" Munk belched,
" I feel that you should leave this planet with your family and live peacefully." A smile formed on the woman's face.
"W-what really?" Munk smile,
"Of course! Take a mage! And leave!" The woman ran towards the main gate.
She didn't run thirty feet before a knife flew clean through her throat.
"What in the name Munk! You were going to let this woman leave! She would have gotten reinforcements to come and attack us! Are you mad!" Munk spat out his wine,
"She was pretty!" Khaos flared in blue flame like sapphire.
"I trusted you! But it seems that you are going to be a risk for this planet so I will take have and conquer you." Munk Laughed,
"Why don't you conquer me now?" Khaos's eyes narrowed as he smiled,
"Because I am a gentleman." He stormed off, whistling for his men to following. He killed anyone who crossed his path. Munk sat alone now.
"W-what have I done?"
