Chapter 2

Previously on Adopted by Ant and Dec...

All of a sudden my phone rang. I answered it. "Hello is this Ashayalynn Williams?" The unknown person said. "Yes." I said. "I'm sorry but your mum and little sister got in a car accident and they didn't make it." My heart dropped. Ant and Dec asked what happened. ""M-my mum and little s-sister got in a car accident a-and th-they d-didn't make I-it." I said. They wrapped me in a hug. "I-I'm an orphan now." I said. "Oh darling." Dec said. "It's okay you can stay with us if you like until they figure something out." Ant said. "Really?" I asked. "Really." Dec said.

Ant POV

Dec and I hugged Ashayalynn again after we told her she could stay with us. Ashayalynn, Dec, and I walked to the judges table. "Oh, hi darlings." Said Alesha. "Is everything alright?" Simon asked. "No, not really." Dec informed them. "What's wrong?" David asked. "I hugged Ashayalynn because she started crying even harder. "Ashayalynn just got a call from the hospital. Her mum and little sister got in a car accident." Dec said. "Are they alright?" Amanda asked. "Umm. No, they aren't. They didn't make it." I said. All the judges just gasped. Ashayalynn started to wipe her tears. "Shh, it's alright love." I said. Dec gave her a cuddle as well. The judges were so shocked. They didn't know what to say or do. "Ashayalynn is staying with us for a while." Dec said. "If there is anything we can do to help just let us know." Simon said. "I will, thank you." I said and I went and hugged Simon. "The audience behind us were watching the whole thing and could here it. They looked shocked as well. Ashayalynn realises that they heard and she just stood shocked. She then ran backstage. Dec and I followed her. The next act was due to perform so we just let Ashayalynn stay backstage with us. We got her some water and she sat in the corner.

Dec POV

Ashayalynn went and sat in the corner backstage. The act that was performing right now was really bad. He couldn't sing at all. After that act was buzzed off the stage, I turned around to check on Ashayalynn. She was leaned against the wall asleep. I walked over to her and took my jacket off and laid it across her so she was warm. I kissed her forehead and got up and walked back to where Ant was standing. "She's asleep." I said to Ant. "She looks peaceful." Ant said looking over at Ashayalynn. We went through a couple more auditions and soon it was time for a lunch break. Ant and I went over to Ashayalynn and woke her up telling her it's time for a break. She nodded and handed me my jacket. We walked to the room where we all hang out on breaks. Ashayalynn has dry tear streaks on her cheeks. We got to the room and Ant, Shy (her nickname), and I went and sat on a sofa. I was on the right. Shy was in the middle. Ant was on the left. Shy cuddled into my side and fell back asleep.
