Hey Guys! So somehow the first chapter of the book was deleted :/ So just to clear up any confusion that might occur this is CHAPTER ONE!
"Honey, you need to take a break from your work. Everyone is wondering where you have been. I swear you have been cooped up in this house for days. You need to get out and go out with your girlfriends. You never know.....you might find a handsome guy somewhere." Veronica, my Mother said.
"Ugh Mom. For the hundredth time! I do not need a guy in my life to distract me from my work! I’ve worked so hard all my life to get where I am now. I’m not going to give it all up on some guy who wants to get in my pants" I feel like I’ve have this discussion with her at least a million times. Trust me, I do not and will not need a guy in my life for a long time.
"Aren’t you tired of being the third wheel and watching all your friends be happy with their boyfriends?"
"Mom....I don’t know if you get this or not...that is why I don’t go out with them a lot. I do not need to see them stick each other’s tongues down each other’s throats whenever we are out together."
"Ally honey! Don’t you see?! This is exactly why you should meet a decent guy. If you’re tired of seeing your friends happy with their boyfriends that should be another reason why you should go out and meet someone! You never know....you might change your mind if you meet the right one."
Okay. Whatever Mom I need to go to a photo shoot." I stood up searching through my cabinets for all the necessary equipment i would be needing for the shoot. I heard Mom sigh from behind me, when will she drop my having a boyfriend? I wish she would listen to me sometimes. When I have all my things packed I follow my mother’s retreating back through my quaint apartment and to the front door.
"Just think about what I’ve said Ally. I know you don’t agree, but I think it’s about time that you settle down and find someone."
"Okay, okay. I’ll think about it but now I really need to go before it gets to dark outside." I sigh and turn looking out one of my small windows at the darkness coming over the sky. Great. Just my day. Photos in the dark...yay....
"Okay bye honey! Call me if you need to talk!" My mom yelled behind me
Sigh....what am I ever going to do with that lady......I start walking faster down the dark hallways of my apartment building trying to get out as soon as I can. As soon as I see my car in front of me I’m literally sprinting, shoving my stuff into the trunk.
I sigh, pushing my blond hair into a low ponytail and roll down my car windows. I start thinking about the pictures I want to take in the woods. I hope this will be worth it to rush out there for some decent pictures.
I finally get to my destination. The woods. I get out of my car rushing to get my stuff unpacked from my trunk. I start walking through the dense wood, enjoying the fresh air and the smell of pine trees. I smile to myself slightly enjoying the untouched beauty in front of me. I take some good picks of bright wild flowers and some wildlife I’ve seen while walking through the woods.
As I’m walking, it starts getting dark. Great the suns going down. I start to make my way back to the direction of my car...or at least I think is the way to my car. I walk around for what seems like hours as the sky gets darker and darker. I finally come to the conclusion that I’m lost. Great. Just my day.
I sit down under a huge pine tree to look around for anything familiar I’ve seen from earlier on. As I’m looking around I see stormy grey eyes in the dense, dark forest ahead of where I’m sitting. I stand up slowly, trying not to startle whatever is back there. I slowly walk over in its direction. I see the eyes stand up in the air at least four feet taller than me.
I gasp stepping backwards but trip over a thick branch and land on my butt. I look up to see a huge black wolf standing on its hind legs a few feet in front of me.
Oh, shit. I’m in trouble.
