I walked the streets of Seattle in search of a new job, anything would have done. Cleaning, cooking...dog walker. I’ve never really taken notice of what skills I have; I just do what I’m told for money.

I noticed a pin board listed with all sorts of papers on it, rooms for rent, dancing lessons, I thought I saw one listing a job but that’s when my mobile phone rang. I hurried to get it out of my bag; hearing Steven Tyler’s voice screaming at me. "Clem thank god it's you. I need your help." It was Jessica, my best friend and roommate.

"What is it?" I asked, suddenly alarmed. "Has something happened?" Jess sighed. "Do you remember the guy I told you about? The one I had a date with last night?"

"I think so." I said.  “Danny, the Elliot Stabler look-a-like, am I right?"

"Yes. We went back to his place last night. Then, all of the sudden, when I woke up today, he asked me to get out. Now he's locked up in his bathroom, and I can't find my dress. You've got to help me. I'm hung-over, in my undies, and I haven't got any money. Please. Bring me some clothes" I sighed. "Ok." I breathed. "I'm coming. Just give me the address."

When I got off the bus, I looked down at the note I made on my phone telling me where the address is. I found the house almost instantly. It was a very posh neighbourhood, and by the look of the house, I could see that this guy had money. I walked around to the rear of the house, and saw Jess peeking out of a window.

She came out into the garden, as soon as she saw me. Jess came out wearing an oversized white t-shirt. Her long black hair was a mess, and her face was smeared with make-up. And yet she still looked good.

"Thank you so much! I’m so embarrassed." She said, as I handed her a bag containing clothes. "You are officially the best friend ever." "No worries. But you owe me one after this."

Jess giggled. "I do!" she said. "Just wait a second while I change, and talk to Danny."

"You're talking to him?" I asked surprised. "The man kicked you out, and you're talking to him? I don't understand what goes on in your head." She giggled again. "We made up, many times." She said. "It's ok now."

I sighed. "Are you serious? Do you mean that I came all the way out here for nothing?"

Jess smiled innocently. “Uhm maybe" She said. "I thought you really needed me!" I moaned. I noticed how the tone in my voice had become irritated. "I'm sorry. I'll come home later tonight okay?" "Ok." I said.
