It's late tonight

It's been a week, we're almost fully done with the set for Welcome to the Gay Parade . I honestly can't wait to see how it turns out.

I can't believe school is over in three weeks. Then it's off to college.

I stopped scrolling through my phone and got out of bed. It's 10 pm, but I can't sleep. I yawned and decided to text the group chat.

Conner: good morning
Nala: hey
Jacky: ._.
Micheal: I'm bored
Conner: Let's go to the park?!?!?

They have nothing better to do anyways.

--

"Hey!" I greeted everyone as I walked up to them by the swings.

"What's up?" Jacky waved.

"Okay, well Jacky I think we should go now." Nala said pulling Jacky.

I looked at them confused. I literally just got here.

"Jacky needs to practice his part in his play."

"He's an extra..."

"And he's bad at it, let's go Jacky!"

"Haha, bye guys." Jacky waved as Nala dragged him away.

"What was that about?" I asked confused.

"Uh, nothing probably..." Micheal swiped pink hair out of his face, "they're weird."

"This is true." I laughed.

I sat on a swing next to Micheal.

I took out my phone and played "C'mon" by Panic! At the Disco, a song I had become very fond of.

"Can we... Talk about stuff? Nothing in particular. Just everything." Micheal looked down.

"Of course!" It's not often we have serious conversations.

Its getting late, and I

"You know Conner... I'm so glad I met you. Who could've guessed we'd become so close, huh?"

Cannot seem to find my way home tonight.

"Yeah... Who also could've guessed life was this complicated. Glad I'm keeping my sanity haha."

Feels like I am falling down a rabbit hole

"Yeah... I'd never guess that your little pastel colored mind could hold so much stress."

Falling for  forever, wonderfully wandering alone

"I guess so... The life experience is different for everyone."

What would my head be like

"I'd be crazy without you, Conner."

If not for my shoulders or without your smile

"I'd be dead without you Micheal..."

But follow you forever

"Don't say that!"

May it never leave you

"It's true."

To sleep in the stone,

"Well, I'd probably be worse than dead without you."

maybe stay lost on our way home.

"But we have each other, so that... Is an alternate universe that I'll never explore." I smiled.

C'mon, c'mon, with everything falling down around me
I'd like to believe in all the possibilities

"I know this is cheesy... But we're a wall in a world of war..." He smiled too.

If I should die tonight
May I first just say I'm sorry

"You make me feel like somebody..." He continued

For I, never felt like anybody
I am a man of many hats although I
Never mastered anything

"You're amazing though..." I said softly.

But I am ten feet tall
I've never felt this tall since the fall
Nobody seems to know my name
So don't leave me and sleep all alone
Maybe stay lost on our way home

"Even if anyone never noticed or talked to me, I'm glad you did, Tato."

C'mon, c'mon, with everything falling down around me
I'd like to believe in all the possibilities

"We're completely unstoppable together."  I laughed.

C'mon, c'mon, with everything falling down around me
I'd like to believe in all the possibilities

"Completely."

Try not to mistake what you have with what you hate
It could leave, it could leave, come the morning

" I could never take this for granted but..." Micheal paused.

Celebrate the night
It's the fall before the climb
Shall we sing, shall we sing, until the morning

"If I do something crazy... Promise not to run away?"

If I fall forward, you fall flat
And if the sun should lift me up
Would you come back?

"I'd never run... Even if I did, I would come back."

C'mon, c'mon, with everything falling down around me
I'd like to believe in all the possibilities

"Okay..."

C'mon, c'mon, with everything falling down around me
I'd like to believe in all the possibilities

Micheal turned his head towards me, I looked at him. In his eyes. Beautiful eyes.

So c'mon, c'mon, with everything falling down around me
I'd like to believe in all the possibilities

He began to lean in, still looking me in the eyes.

It's late and I, cannot seem to find my way home tonight

I closed my eyes.
