It's so strange. Everything changes in senior year.
"Hey, Conner wait up!" Michael yelled the next morning. Why isn't he at his bus stop?
"Oh, hey Tato. " A nickname I gave him.
"It was boring at my stop, so I came here."
He didn't have to explain himself. I enjoyed the company."So, uh, I think the thing you're doing with the comic is really cool. And thanks for sticking up for the GSA as well."
"No problem!" I replied swiping a curl away from my face.
We were silent.
But that's what friendship was. Being able to just be comfortable in silence. It's not that we had nothing to say, we just weren't talking right now. And that was fine with us.

"...Ryan, you work on the swing set, Mary, rose bushes, Aalica, Small props, Sarah, Small props." I finished assigning everyone what to work on for the GSA's play.
Afterwards, I moved on to working on the art show, adding new submissions and such.

When I left school, I didn't have to go home, Micheal and I were sleeping over. Something we've done often since we were kids.
Most of the time we play video games, or expose each other of secrets.
We're running out of those.
There's not a lot of stuff about Micheal that I don't know. And the stuff I don't know, I don't want to know.I walked up to the plain house with a rainbow flag on it and knocked on the door.
"Conner!!" Tato greeted opening the door.
Sleepovers never get old. They're almost a routine now.
1. Get pounds of junk food.
2. Bust out the controllers.
3. Play an embarrassing game like truth or dare (which we now call TORD).
4. Watch a movie
5. Scroll through Tumblr until we fall asleep.
At least that's how most of them went.
We also sleep over everytime a new "Phil is not on Fire" comes out. Like a celebration.
But through all of these years and the sleepovers... The different times in school where I've felt close to him... I start to think about what I want. Do I really want us to be just friends? I guess so, else I would've told him I was pansexual by now. I think I could be happy with him though.
"Uh, Conner, you're pouring too much milk." Micheal laughs a little.
I put myself out of my gaze, my cereal is now an overflowing mess of milk, which has wasted on the table, floor, and myself.
"Fu-fudge! I'm sorry.""It's okay, I'll get a towel. Also don't think I didn't catch you almost swear." He laughed throwing me the towel.
I blushed a little, "Whatever, I don't swear."
"Whatever, that's bullshit." He responded trying to keep a straight face and failing.
--
I could tell him right now.
Just a quick, " I like you." Who knew three words could be so nerve wrecking and haunt someone like this."You're driving your cart off the map!" Micheal warned bursting in laughter, as he came in 1st place on rainbow road, and I came in a just depressing last, "Are you okay? You seem distracted."
"Yeah, haha, I'm fine."
