I slowly made my way towards the stage dragging my converse laden feet on the ground as I walked. "Pause" Mrs. Childs commanded. (Again she literally commanded. I'm not exaggerating. Something is wrong with this woman.) I stopped in my spot looking over at Mrs. Childs as she made her way to her desk and picked up the phone. What was she doing? She pressed a small button on the side of the phone and suddenly the little butterflies in my stomach turned into gigantic pterodactyls. That was the button for the intercom. "IF ANYONE WANTS TO WATCH A CHOIR PERFORMANCE COME DOWN TO THE AUDITORIUM" Mrs. Childs voice boomed and I had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn't having the worst nightmare in history. Nope, I was here and this was real.

The first kids to come in were the ones who were in P.E. about 7 showed up and Lucas was one of them, failing a class because he had a tendency to run from balls, Just on the field though, in the sheets, it was a different story. You didn't hear that from me though, he's still in the closet and I'm happy to play his fake girlfriend when needed. He gave me a little wave and a thumbs up and I attempted to wave back from my spot in the corner of the stage that I had slowly maneuvered to. After 5 minutes The auditorium held an impressive amount of students. Any way to get out of class right? I was surprised to see how many kids were actually in summer school. There were 5 middle schools and 3 high schools in the district and our high school being the biggest school of all they used our campus to host all of the summer school classes. There were approximately 150 kids in summer school and I could have sworn 70 of them were here. I felt my breakfast of a pop tart beginning to rise in my throat.
