1. Meet

Why can't I just be like every human being, and not test danger? Why do I have to be here alone, when there's no help?

"If you stand still, it will be quick," someone said from behind me.

I turned around to find a guy, about 6ft tall, brownish hair, red eyes, and pale skin.

"If you scream, I assure you this will be more painful," his voice threatining as he spoke.

We were staring at eachother in the dark ally way. The only light I had was the moon that was directly above. As he came closer, I backed away.

"I would stay still, my dear. That is if you don't want a lot of pain," he said then, within a second, he was next to me.

"Now, is there anything you want to request before I kill you?"

I stayed silent.

"Oh there must be something you have to say!"

"Let her go, Kane!" Another voice said from behind me, though I couldn't see.

"And why should I miss out on my mouth-watering dinner, while you hunt animals to quench your thirst?"

"Let her go! She probably has a family to get back to."

"Your point with that is...?"

"Let her go!"

He let go of me and I fainted.

I woke up in my bed. Was that a dream? I thought to myself. I looked at what I was wearing, and it was my P.J.'s

"Huh"

I headed to the highschool after getting ready. We had a new student he was pale, dark eyed, and beautiful. He was masculin, dark, short/medium haired, named Edmind. He looked over at me with a confusion and sympathetic look on his face. I looked away after my cheeks started to get warm.

As soon as school was over, I started to walk home.

"Excuse me, but you dropped this," someone said from behind me.

I turned to see Edmind with a folder. "Thanks," I said as I grabbed it.

"You're not walking alone, are you?"

"Yes, why?"

"It's not safe."

"I think I'll be fine. Thank you, though."

"At least let me walk with you?"

"I don't know."

"I insist."

We walked half way to my house together, and when I decided to cut through the woods, the same guy I saw last night was standing infront of me.

"Now, I gave you an extra day to live, darling, but I think I've suffered enough, how about I do this quickly, and it will be all over very soon."

I started to tremble, and tears sprang from my eyes. "Why do you want to kill me?"

"It's not that really. It's just that your blood smells apetizing."

"You're not real."

"Oh, but I am. Vampires live amoung you everyday. At school even!"

"Impossible."

"Oh, but it is possible, my dear," he said as he came over to me. his mouth was an inch away from my throat.

"Please don't," I begged.

"But why ever not?"

"Please."

"I believe I can not do that."

His breath was freezing, his teeth were a milimeter away from my neck before something knocked him over.

"I told you to not get near her ever again!"

I froze with shock as I saw who had saved me.
