As I walked into the school I could see everyone staring at me. I tried to cover my forehead, but it was no use because the gash was to big. I tried to avoid everyone but it was so hard, I wanted to fall to the ground and just start crying. The world to me didn't exist.

I finally got to my locker, grabbed my things and headed to my first hour.

I sat down as soon as the bell rang, and Mr. Right started calling attendance. "Josh,...mike,...Nitoshia..? "Here" I said with a low tone. Everyone looked at me, I was so embarrassed, so I put my head down. I finally put my head up and Mr. Right just stared at me. I was so creeped out I didn't know what to do..so I just stared back.he always had looked at me a different way than other teachers. I thought he was just trying to be nice.

After school was over I walked home once again. Flashbacks of the beating kept coming to my mind. I tried to forget it and just count my steps.

Me and my mother had lived alone together since I was 7 when my father walked out on us. My mother took it pretty hard, and that was the time the beatings started happening. At school the children started noticing, then my mother started getting into trouble. She got questioned and everything but they never found. Like I said, I would never hurt my mother, and I never want her to get in trouble. So I learned to hide the beatings and tell a lie. I started pushing my other family and friends away, just to hide the fact.

My thoughts were disturbed as I heard Screams coming from my house. I ran up my drive way. The screams were horrific and have me chills up my back.

I ran in the front door and seen my mother on the floor with blood puddles everywhere. I could see the knife in her hand with blood dripping off of it. I ran to her side and I could see long slices on her arms. I immediately started crying. I could see the life lifting out of her eyes, they closed. At that point I couldn't even take in what had just happened I couldn't even feel. My whole life had just fallen before me..
