He started coming towards me, my whole body tensed as I watched him get closer. He then leaned over and whispered in my ear "don't worry, we'll take good care of you". My body froze to the sounds of his words. He grinned and stood up and walked out of my room.
I lay there on my bed just thinking of his words, they just kept running through my head.
He was the person I had to watch out for or something very bad would happen.
The next day I woke up to my alarm, I then walked into the bathroom, took a shower and did my hair. A couple weeks before that my Aunt had bought me a whole new wardrobe, and I was excited to wear some of it. So I put on a cute summer dress, I loved the way it flowed it really brought out my tan skin. Just the little things like that in life gave me so much happiness.
As I finally finished admiring myself, I picked up my bags and walked out the door.
As I was walking I noticed that it was darker than usual, and there was no one around. The moon was bright and the stars were out. It was really quiet which seemed strange. This day just didn't feel right.
I eventually walked into the doors of my school. As usual my day went horrible. I never talked to anyone, and everyone stared at me. Sometimes I wish I could just poke them in the eye. But I never do it. As the day was finally over I was ready to go home. Surprisingly I was actually ready to go home.
I walked out the school doors and just ran. I felt so free as I felt the wind blowing through my hair. I was finally gone from the beatings, I had a family, and my life had a new beginning. As I was running, I tripped. I fell face first, and the only thing I could see was darkness.
