Best friend

Tears flowing down my cheeks,
Involuntarily,
As memories played repeatedly,
Of a best friend I once had.

You were just a puppy,
With no owner nor home,
But a family with love,
Brought you to a place,
Called Home.

Your eyes,
Made my heart calm,
A wide smile across my face.

Your bark,
Which neighbors hated so much,
But it filled my heart, with only joy

Your tail,
Wagging all the time,
As you were home,
Full with happiness.

I knew it from the start,
That he's the one,
Who would stick with me,
Like a shadow,
Who'll follow me,
Forever.

I guess forever doesn't exist.
I guess it's time.
But what I believe in,
Is a man's best friend,
Isn't human nor things,
But a dog.
A loyal one,
A playful one,
A sweet one.
