Enveloped- by the chilly waters.

Melancholic hazel orbs exposed to the autumn breeze, greeted by the sapphire welkin whilst the rickshaw red blades raining down. Light fragment scattered dynamic shadows upon the shallow creek before settling silently painting fluxes of calm waves. One by one ripples peck her olive skin, senses tingled for the caress akin to a summer's love grass- genial, pleasant and tender to lull a person into slumber.

A slumber so warm, so comfortable; almost heavenly.

Yet here we were existing in a mundane mortal dimension, where warmth were fleeting like an innocent dream. A faraway unattainable dream, vanished up in a puff of smoke with a mere step. The cold stayed, painting the bodice of the maiden soaking to the bone. The soft touch was like the devil whispering hope for the upcoming despair, whom later will guffaw to its despicable gratification upon the morose souls trapped in silk-spun web.

Repulsive world we caught ourselves into, yet it was a mistake concocted by human themselves. Greed by power, hunger for knowledge; we the filthy creatures that we were possessed gluttony to touch upon what had frown on. Perverse on meeting the goal even as far as flying close to the searing star, only to catch ablaze falling back down.

Down plunged a human, casting fiery torrent upon the rest of the world- sinners and innocents alike ensnared in non-extinguished hell. Many perished, gobbled up by the beasts liberated by the once-was-the-top-of-the-food-chain. Earth cloaked in the darkness once more, underwent the cycle where the strong feeds upon the weaker.

Fate had brought us to where most human was on the weaker spectrum in life.

Thud.

Greater ripples overpowering the gentler waves.

Thud.

Multiple footsteps, quite impressive tremors rocking the once tranquil creek.

Thud.

The flaming-eyed beasts found their prey; predation instinct sat onto the unguarded maiden..

Growl.

Roar of the beast rattled the moribund earth, devoured and consumed by them- beings those branded as violent god.

"Aragami."

Fiery butter-coloured set of orbs locked and the saber-tooth armored creature almost had a Cheshire-grin plastered upon for the meal it had stumbled upon. Scarlet cape on tiger-like varment's back fizzled with electrifying energy, excitement through the roof as these so-called gods craved for no other than to devour. Both organic and inorganic materials were fed on, scarce the land where once human dominated. This is our reality; our world.

Mortiferous paw soared obstructing the previously pristine blue canvas, muscles swelled with intent to strike the maiden.

Blasts of projectiles burst onto the unsuspected predator, all zeroed on the weakest spots tumbled the beast onto the ground with an anguished growl. Dusts of sand disturbed the field of vision as the tremors shook the ground while lighter yet intrepid footsteps marched towards the fallen. The aragami had plunged into a snare- created by the weaker, persistent beings; humans. Now, the hunter had become the hunted.
