Max's pov

Shit there's 1 last corner and the R34 is in the lead. I accelerated as much as I could to try my best to close the gap again. Hold on I have an idea...

???'s pov

Damn the Camaro is closing the gap again it must have at least 550hp or more. This guy sure has skills, not anyone can control a lot of horsepower without spinning out of control or crashing into something. I looked down at my speedometer and it said that I was going 270km/h but the Camaro was still accelerating. 

Not only does it have a lot of power but it must also have good transmission gear ratios to reach such a high speed. However that was only one more corner left, if I can maintain my lead, I'll win.


Pause race

(In the background)

Jack: Oh come on how are they so fast! This is soooo unfair

Max: Don't worry Jack, the writer will make you win eventually

Jack: --____-- *Not happy*

3rd person pov

The R34 GTR was in the lead with the Camaro right behind him. They were about to enter the last corner but the Camaro suddenly moved to the outside line and braked very early.

???'s pov

What is he doing! His braking way too early, never mind I have to concentrate on clearing the next corner. Just before the turn I let go off the throttle and slammed onto the brakes and heel- toe downshifted. Right foot on the brakes, left foot on the clutch, downshift and tapping the throttle at the same time with the heel of my right foot while my toes are still pressing the brakes. I repeated it until I was in 2nd gear. 

I then flicked the steering wheel to the left and kicked the clutch to break the rear tyres lose. Idrifted from the inside to the outside as it allows me to drift faster. *Light flashing* Huh? What's that? There was something flashing in my left wing mirror. Hold on... How did the Camaro catch up! The Camaro suddenly appeared next to my GTR.


A few mins ago

Max's pov

Ok this is the last corner, hope my idea works. I braked earlier than I normal would and turned into the corner. Now! Once my Camaro turned into the turn, I full throttled the accelerator which caused my rear tyres to break loss. (This move is called power sliding.)

(Power sliding and Drifting are not the same.)

-(Simply put Power sliding is when a car's rear tyres lose traction when the driver goes full throttle in the middle of a corner/ turn. This happens normally with cars that have a powerful engine as the rear tyres do not have enough grip to transfer the power to the road/ track so it causes the rear tyres to spin.)

-(Drifting is when the car's rear tyres lose traction and spin BEFORE a corner and purposely enters the turn sideways.)

3rd person pov

The GTR was in the lead followed by the Camaro right behind it. They were about to reach the finish line but the Camaro was slowly creeping up to the GTR. Both were going 310km/h while barely avoiding the traffic in front of them.
