I hope he didn't hear that because if he did, I'm dead. I wait for a few seconds... nothing... He doesn't even look at me.
"Phew...", I say looking at my best friend giving him the death glare," what do you think you're doing!?"
"Just doin' my job as your best friend and might be best man at your wedding if he doesn't say no to the dance. It's girls choice and he told his friend who told his brother who told his ex-girlfriend who told her friends who told the football team who told the cheerleaders who told the nerds that they had dates to ask him to set them up with someone and they told me that he was waiting for the special someone to ask him which could mean you.", he finished out of breath from talking too much.
"So you're saying he might be into an emo chick that can't seem to get out of the friend zone ever?"
I look up from the floor and see that someone is walking towards me and Clarence it's Ramond the only person who makes me feel giddy inside.
"Hey, Pipper, how's it going?" he asks
"G-good I guess. H-how about y-you?" I say stumbling a few times
"I"m great thanks for asking. So are you going to the girls choice dance?"
"I don't know I haven't gotten a date yet. How about you?And if so who with?" Why do I keep asking questions well I guess it's better than stumbling.
"Nah I don't think the girl I want to ask me is really into me so unless she asks I most likely won't be going with anyone just for the yearbook. Those pictures won't take themselves." he giggles a little at his own joke and giggles a little too not because of the joke because of his wonderful laugh.
"Oh... ok. Well, I guess I'll see you in class right?"
"Yep..." he says kinda leaving his last word hanging before leaving.
After he was out of earshot Clarence started in with how I should ask him out and blah blah blah all stuff I had heard before, but I will find out who he likes. And when I do that's when I'll decide whether or not to go ask him or not.
(After school walking home)
It took all my strength to not kill him on the way home but I managed.
"Clarence Robert Hadley! If you don't stop messing with me I will tell your mother!" I say playfully to him as we run down the street into my house. The only reason we are going there is because my dad isn't there and his family keeps thinking we're dating and they honestly hate him and love me. I feel bad so we go to my house so there is no conflict and so we get more time to talk guys. We walk into my room like normal and start talking when I realize what day it is
"Damn it I have to go to a party today." I flop on my bed and groan with agony.
"Shouldn't you be happy?"
"No, It's more of a ball, not a party."
"So
"I don't get it anyone would be happy to have you I mean look at you if I weren't gay then I would be all over you man you have the perfect body your thin and curvy and your hair is like silk that falls in perfect straight strands of black with hints of red and don't get me started on your..." he stops and gasps as I walk out of my over sized closet, " Look at you you look so perfect in that dress and here let me do your hair up all nice and pretty.
I'm wearing a silk black dress that has silver and gold sparkles that seem to fade down the dress with the dress color fading into a dark gray at the end like the sparkles. It's short and barely reaches my knees. He puts my hair in a messy bun that sits on the top of my head, he keeps pushing bobby pins in my hair while I talk.
