Will's POV
It was late one night and Mike, Lucas, Dustin and I were in the Wheelers basement playing D&D. It was not going well. I had to roll a 13 or higher to beat the monsters and win the game but it wasn't looking good. Just then Mike's mom shouted down the stairs.
''Micheal, you have to go to bed. Say goodbye to your friends."
I guess that was it then. I gathered all of my stuff and cycled out the door with everyone but Mike but soon enough I was on my own on the creepy road of 'Mirkwood'. A shaddowy creature popped out of nowhere.
"Aaaaaaaagh," I screamed.
I lost control of my bike and tumbled down a hill! The creature was still following me. I rushed to my house and opened the door.
"Mom!?"
"Jonathon!?"
Complete silence.
I was starting to panic. Beads of sweat were rolling down my forhead. I couldn't think straight.
What will I do? What will I do? I asked over and over again to myself.
The door was opening slowly but surely. I couldn't just stand there so I sprinted out to our cabin where we kept our guns. I could just about remember how to use it from when my dad, Lonnie brought me out shooting. I shakily loaded it and pointed the horrible thing at the door. What I didn't realize was that the monster was behind me the whole time! Another thing that I didn't realize was that I wasn't in our cabin anymore. Well I was, but it looked different. It was much darker for one thing, there was stuff that looked like snow floating about everwhere for another thing and there was vines climbing uo the wooden walls.
I didn't have time to inspect anything else though because I was probably about to be eaten by a monster so I had to run as fast as I could to a safe place.
Maybe if i could outrun the monster then I could hideout in Castle Byers. Luckily it wasn't that fast so soon enough I found myself huddled up in Castle Byers not daring to breathe and trying to figure out what to do next. I was in a real mess.
