Ryan came in around 6:15, loaded with groceries. He set them down heavily on the kitchen counter, telling himself he'd put them up later.
His grandmother was sitting on the couch, her feet propped up, watching TV. "Hey Grandma," he greeted.
The old woman smiled at him. "Ryan! Was the trip to the store alright?"
He shrugged. "Yeah. I mean, boring. But I got everything. How did everything go while I was out? I'm sorry I had to leave."
"Oh, it's ok, sweetie. Same as you. Pretty boring. Although...there was this guy. He came by 20 or so minutes ago. He seemed so out of place. He must have been looking for someone really special, the way he acted when he realized he was at the wrong address. So disappointed. So heartbroken."
Ryan frowned, picking up his guitar, plucking the strings. They were horribly out of tune. As he set about fixing them, he finally responded. "Wow. That really sucks for him. Hope he figures everything out alright,"
