(Subaru's P.O.V)

(continuation of his last pov shot, where he's hiding behind some bushes and watches Serenity save Ayato from drowning before he starts yelling at her)

My eyes widen as I watch the scene unfold in front of me, being a vampire, I can hear every word.

How dare he....

I clench my fists. So what if Serenity promised? She just saved your life and you're just going to blame her?!

I take a few deep breaths to calm myself down, but Ayato's acting selfish....

When they all leave, I look down at the purple roses still clutched in my hand. I add some pink ones and then white, because I remember mother saying they represented purity. I stand up and start to walk towards the mansion, but not before looking up the tower, where I see mothers face through the window.

Her pink hair falls around her soft face, her sad eyes look me over. She gives me a small smile, and a mix of relief and worry fill my chest. She glances down at the silver dagger she always holds, then looks at me.

I wish I knew what she was thinking....

(Laito's P.O.V)

Ayato can be so funny sometimes. The oldest my ass.... Ren saves his life and he just has to throw a kiddy tantrum and send her spiraling. I thought we were done with the spiraling, at least for a little bit. But he sent her right back....

Kind of.... annoying.

Not to mention, I did have a little role in literally breathing life back into his body. But he barely acknowledged me! Oh, sure, I'm just the guy who saved your life but nah, don't thank me or anything. Just blame me for "kissing" you....

Although this is high quality blackmail, and probably worth more than the photos I took of him drooling on his notebook.... ha.

Serenity stays limp in my arms, water dripping from her dark red hair and body. I walk through the halls, and bump into a sniffling Kanato, clutching Teddy in his arms as he looks up at me with a tearstained face. He cocks his head to the side. "I saw Ayato.... he looked angry. But you saved him.... that's good."
