(Reiji's P.O.V)

(when Serenity leaves the house to see Shuu)

I secretly follow Serenity out of the house, hiding behind bushes and slinking around trees, because you know, that's not creepy or anything. She stops at the opening in front of the woods and start to hum some kind of song. Her humming is pretty soothing, and I start to drift off.

Suddenly my body slumps to the side and ruffles the bush, and I jerk back up. I hear Serenity stop singing and silently curse myself for being so careless. I don't dare move an inch as Serenity slowly walks over to the bush I'm hiding behind, a reluctant look on her face. I know how she's scared of the dark.

Just as I'm calculating how far it'll take me to run over to the mansion without her finding me out (which is exactly 0.7% by the way), her hand is inches from finding me out and I see a shadow slink behind her, a pair of hands landing on her shoulders.

She starts, whipping around but it's Shuu. For once, the appearance of my brother fills me with relief.

I'm more careful this time as I follow them, not making a sound. They come across a small area, and I hear metal sliding against metal. Serenity lowers herself into the opening and then Shuu, who slides it closed.

When I'm sure they're gone, I walk over to the area, and find out it leads to some kind of sewage tunnel. I analyze the metal plate, and decide not to open it just yet.

Instead, I grin. Finally.... I know where Shuu's been disappearing daily.... to the human world. And not only that but to meet a human....

My glasses glint. This is too good to be true. But.... I still need more research. I wait a few more moments and go down, listening carefully for any footsteps. I walk along, scrunching my nose at the smell as I wipe my glasses with my hankerchief.

I climb the ladder when I see it and slowly slide the metal plate at the top open, appearing in what looks like a forest. I look to my left when I hear laughter, and recognize it as Serenity's. I look and see her splashing some water around in a lake, along with Shuu and.... a person I don't recognize.

That must be the human....

I watch them play for a bit and something like jealously boils inside me. I push it back down.

Why....?

I wander the forest, keeping track so I know how I'll get back. I hear far away voices and peer through some trees and see a village, filled with humans. "So.... this is where the human lives...." My eyes begin to widen as a smirk stretches my lips.
