I had just gotten out of the shower and taken care of the bullet wound in my side when there was a knock on my door.

"Come in!" I shouted. The door opened and there was Tyler. I went over to the dresser to pick out a shirt. "What can I do for ya?"

"Put on a shirt?" He stood awkwardly and a light blush tinged his cheeks.

I rolled my eyes and gave a quiet laugh. "Like you haven't seen me in a bra before." I put on a loose shirt and looked at him. "So, what's up?"

He scratched the back of his neck. "I don't know. I was bored so I came in here."

I hummed. "So how am I supposed to help that? I would think your friends would be better for that than me."

"They're still going on about the heist." He balled up his fists.

"Salty." I chuckled. "Well, take a seat. I should probably look at your hand, anyway."

He sat on the bed and I went to get the supplies out of the bathroom. I came back out of the bathroom, tossing stuff towards him. He caught them and set them on the bed.

I sat down beside them. I held out my hand. "Give."

He obliged. "Bossy." He chuckled to himself. I uncovered his hand.

"Looks good." I said. "Well, as good as a stab wound can look." I quickly took care of it, since it was a lot less severe than my side. I wrapped it back up and pat his hand. "There you go." I looked up at him. His eyes were trained on me. "What?"

He smirked. "I enjoy watching you work. You zone in. It's nice."

I avoided his eyes. "Um, thank you?"

He chuckled. I looked back at him.

"I should probably go to bed." I put my hands in my lap.

He nodded. "Well, goodnight." I said a quick 'you too' and he left.

I exhaled slowly, not even realizing I was holding my breath. I set my head in the pillows and the blanket on top of me. I tried to get to sleep, but it wasn't coming to me.

I hugged in frustration and got out of bed. I crept out the door and through the halls, trying not to make too much noise. I checked the time. 1:06. Terrific.

I ended up outside. I could run. Nothing was stopping me. I could run so far that I would find the city eventually. Something kept me planted, I couldn't explain what.

I heard feet approaching me.

"Why aren't you asleep?" Tyler's voice startled me.

"I could ask you the same question." I didn't look at him, instead, looking at the moon.

He sighed. "Couldn't get to sleep?"

I shook my head. "Nope."

I saw his body in my peripheral vision. He was looking at the moon, too. "Me neither." We stood in silence for a few minutes. "It's a nice night out." I nodded. "You could've run."

"I know."

"Why didn't you?" I felt his gaze on me.

I shrugged. "I don't know. Something was holding me back." I looked into his eyes. He looked back with intensity, and I bit my lip.

I don't know what came over me. Everything that happened flooded my brain. The car chase. The wounds. The phone call. The nap. Everything. Maybe it was the fact that the full moon was shining on us. Maybe it was the intensity of his gaze. Maybe it was just the fact that I yearned for this feeling for a while.

Whatever it was, it compelled me to start closing the space in between us. My lips connected with his, and he froze up. After a moment, however, he relaxed into it.

I pulled away, a heavy blush forming on my face. "I-I'm sorry. I don't know what came over me. It was a stupid idea. I truly am sorry..."

He grabbed my hands and pulled me closer to him before bending down and locking our lips again. He wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me closer, which I didn't think was possible.

We pulled away again. We continued to stare at each other, and I'm sure I was blushing.

He was the one to break the silence. "We should probably go inside."

I nodded in agreement. He grabbed my hand and led me inside. We stopped by his door and went inside. He led me to the unmade bed, and I got into it. He slipped in next to me before kissing my forehead.

"Goodnight."

I didn't have trouble sleeping after that.
