Chapter #3

Brent P.O.V.

He sits in a large, black chair and is staring right at me. He has unnatural bright blue eyes and short, dark hair.

"Hello, my master." My dad says then bows his head. He looks at me and I do the same. I am a tad bit freaked out right now! I sound like a girl right too which probably doesnt help.

"Hello." The man says in a deep voice that is not human. "This is your son, I assume?" He looks at me, curious.

"Yes, and he is ready to serve." My father says. I'm confused. Is he offering me as a sacrifice or something? What is going on!?

"Take him to the training center. He will be there for 16 days, then he will go out and we can see if he is worthy." The creepy man says. Training center? Worthy? What?

"Yes, I will." My father says, bowing his head then turning to leave. I do the same. When he closes the door, I ask him,

"Who is that man?" I say in a hushed voice.

"He is..." My dad says, looking straight ahead.

"What will I do?" I ask, not really hearing him. I am really worried. What if I never return home? Is my father giving me up for sacrifice?

"I don't know.."He says, trailing off. "You train, then they send you somewhere with a task to see if you are worthy." He says quickly. "And don't ask any questions." He adds.

And with that he stops at a door way and wishes me luck. I go in. The sight I see is not a good one. But my father pushes me in and slams the door behind me.
