"Oh, guys, watch out." I hear as I step out of the changing room.
I recognize the voice.
Its Jade Nicolson. She goes to my school, St. Anne's Academy for Girls.
My sister went there too. After she escaped, word got out we were sympathizers. My Aunt said we should relocate to another school, but our Regulators said we need to stay here for a while.
My sister's best friend, Hana, is Jade's older sister.
She didn't like the pain that her sister was going through after Lena left.
Everyone called us sympathizers, and disease carriers.
So she decided to take it out on me after Hana got the cure.
She's not into her plastic gown yet, thank god, nobody wants to see you naked.
"Guys, back up," She says. "What an ugly body. Don't want anyone seeing that, spare people's lives, won't you? We heard about your little incident with your aunt." She spits out the aunt part.
"Yeah, so?" I say, confident.
"Well... everyone agrees we shouldn't have stray cats running around. You know, bad for our society."
"I'm not a stray," I say as I walk to the door.
"Tam, stop her." She says. "We're not done talking yet!"
Tam- or Tammy is a part of Jade's little crew. She's completely psycho but is still very pretty.
Tammy grabs my hand and takes me to a chair. I resist and pull away from her grasp, running to the door.
I quickly shut the door.
"Grace! Come back here!" Jade yells through the door.
"We're not done, Grace!"
She slams the door hard with her fist, and I guess she decided not to open it.
I walk calmly to the Evaluation room as the lady comes back to me.
"Miss Haloway? You are needed in the Evaluation room 264."
I proceed without answering her.
As I enter the room, something in there surprised me.
