I jumped on my bike, literally elated. My aunt usually never lets me go. She always has something to do but I think she's had enough of me for one day. I have to head for 112 Shanherd Street, thats where Janice lives. Okay, its only a couple miles from here. When I turn, I accidentally hit a bump on the road.
"What the? Owwwwww!" I wince in pain. I scraped my knee pretty hard, its starting to bleed but just not quite.
"Hey, are you okay?" A familiar voice makes me freeze.
"Oh yeah, Janice what are you doing here?"
"You said the..." She hesitates. "...Place."
"Oh sorry. My aunt finally let me go and I kinda forgot where we'd meet up but okay, Let's go I guess?"
"Your knee, what the heck!"
I looked over, and the gash has grown blood red in color and blood is trickling down.
"Yeah that came from that stupid thousand year old bike. Its fine I guess," I lie so she doesn't freak out.
As me and Janice walk to the place we walk up to the place, we talked about our evaluations. My bike is so crappy and tattered up so we decided to leave it there.
"So how'd it go?" I asked
"It went well, why?" She looks at me oddly
"Do you think they had guards for everyone?"
"What guards? There weren't any."
"What?! There were guards everywhere!" I was shocked.
"Umm... That's weird."
"Soo do you think they'll show up today? I say, trying to change the subject.
"I really hope so."
There's our house, it's pretty close I'm already able to see it, and two boys are standing by the door.
I lower my voice.
"They're here!" I whisper. "Finally" Janice sighed.
Tyler and Alex (A/N refer to the authors note after chapter 3) have been our secret boyfriends since we met. Tyler is mine and Alex is Janice's. I don't know why Janice likes Alex but he's a total perv.
The guys go inside as they see us. We wait a couple minutes, then we walk inside.
"Hey there," Tyler said wrapping an arm arm around my neck.
"Hey I just took evaluations," I say.
"Where have you guys been?" Tyler says, changing the subject.
"No that question is for you, and we didn't want to go in with you, people would be suspicious."
"HAHAHAHAAH AAAAAHHHHH STOP!!!!" Tyler starts tickling me and im seriously dying over here.
"If you guys want, I brought food for us!" Janice says, smiling.
Cant you see im in pain?!?
"Alex can you please pry Tyler off me? I wanna eat!" I said through giggles.
"Tyler you need to stop getting ahead of yourself. Sorry Grace," he said.
"It's fine, Tyler really?" I said with a smile. After that my ugly thousand year old phone started ringing .
"Ugh it's my aunt everyone shut up!" I said. I knew they weren't going to be quiet so I just walked outside.
"Umm are you at Janice's house?" My aunt said.
"Why?"
"Janice's mom said she was coming for you."
"Umm, Janice and I are at the store getting supplies." I lied.
"Do you need any-"
"Sorry gotta go I'm paying bye!"
After that I hung up the phone and walked back inside.
"What'd she say," Janice asked.
"Ugh I told her we were at the store" I replied.
"Oh ok, well is your knee ok? It's swelling up,"
I didn't even notice my whole knee is black, there's a big lump, and it really hurts.
"I'll be fine, it just hurts a little" I lied.
"Umm, that looks really bad, I have some bandages we can use." Tyler said.
"Thanks" I mumbled.
"No problem," he responded he headed over to his bag while Janice unpacks food from her bag.
"I never knew you wanted to be a doctor,"
"Yeah I guess," He says.
He shows me a bottle of pink liquid and a bandage wrap.
"Don't move. I know its going to hurt but stay still. It'll be fine."
He poured the liquid onto a cotton ball, then dabbing it over.
I wince in pain.
"WHAT THE HECK IS THAT?!?"
He doesn't respond. He wraps the bandage around my knee- which is now all black.
He taps on it.
"Now do you feel anything?"
"Woah no!! What is that?"
Its a refreshing icy mint feeling, I love it!!! Don't judge me.
"Its a secret," He says.
"Um guys we need to get outta here, its a RAID!" Alex says, looking out of the curtains.
"Attention. Do not panic. This is a Raid. Come out and present your Identification card," We hear.
"What, ugh. Can we do this Saturday?!?" Janice says.
"Family Reunion, sorry." Alex says.
"GUYS LETS GET OUTTA HERE!"
"Out the back door. There's a cellar thing in the back." Tyler says.
We all rush to the back door. The Regulators are coming closer.
We go outside, hunch our backs and one by one go into a packed cellar.
