My name is Jennifer Anderson, and this is how I met my best friend, Holly Young.

It was years ago in New York City. It was a late August evening when I was driving home from work. I was parked at a stop light when a young, pale, dirt coverd woman with baby blue eyes and chocolate brown hair walked up to my passenger side window. I rolled down my window.
"Hi miss, I'm sorry but, I don't have any money on me," I said to her.
"That's okay. I'm not looking for money. I need a ride to the hospital."
         "What for?" I asked.
"I've gone into labor," she said abruptly.
         "Get in."
She gets in and thanked me. I drove her to the nearest hospital. We walked in and I walked up to a lady sitting at the front desk who is mid to late 40s early 50s.
"I have a lady here who has gone into labor!" I said. She gets up quickly and grabed a wheelchair for her. She took the homeless women to a room while I sat in the waiting room. I found out that the homeless ladies name was Holly Young. On our way here she told me that she had been homeless for almost 3 years. That was all I learned before we arrived at the hospital. I waited for 2 hours until the nurse came out and asked me how I knew Holly.
"She came up to me at a stop light and asked for a ride." The nurse gave me a disgusted look as if a taking a person of Holly's status to the hospital was wrong. "Look lady! She asked me for a ride and I gave her one. She's homeless! I wasn't going to let her give birth on the street!" I yelled. "I am paying for this, so what I need you to do is tell me how much this is and let me go see this woman!" She gave me the amount and I paid, but she wouldn't let me go see Holly. I started to get angry. "Listen lady! You are going to let me go see Miss Young right now!" The nurse nodded slowly and led me down the hallway and into Holly's room. I got to the door and opened it slowly, and I see Holly.

This is the first part...let me know if you like it!!!
