Chapter 4

    The few weeks before Avery's heat passed. He laid in his bed which was covered in blankets pillows and the clothes his alphas had worn. He stared at them both with squinted eyes, becoming aggressive if they came any closer to him without his consent.

    Yamato looked at his clothes with a small sigh and chuckle. "I'm gonna need those for when I go to work..." He mumbled quietly, trying to distract himself from the Omega.

    "You don't work till after his heat you dolt." Mitch chuckled.

   Avery's eyes filled with tears. He whimpered hiding in the bed.

   Yamato tilted his head before counting his fingers and he chuckled as well. "I was thinking a week ahead, I don't get how that happened." He said before rubbing the back of his head. "What's the matter Avery?"

   Mitch looked over stepping into the room slowly. "Avery... baby are you okay?" He asked making a hand gesture for Yamato to come closer.

   Yamato walked towards Mitch a little slowly while watching Avery closely. "Avery?" He asked softly while getting close.

   "His scents off..." Mitch whispered. "Like he smells like you and I along with his own scent." He said softly.

   Yamato nodded and he got closer to Avery before sitting on the side of the bed and he pulled the Omega closer, not minding if Avery got mad.

    Avery clung to him tightly. "My heats late... I'm sorry..." He whimpered crying in his shoulder.

   Yamato let out a soft chuckle. "That doesn't really matter right now love, is that why you're upset?" He asked.

   Avery nodded slowly looking at him. Mitch's eyes widened and he pulled away from them.

   Yamato looked at Mitch confusedly. "What is it Mitch?" He asked when he seen Mitch's eyes widen.

   Mitch looked at their omega. "He's caught... his last heat was exactly a month ago and he's late. His scent is off."

   Yamato tilted his head to the side. "What is it Mitch? I don't get what's wrong." He said confusedly.

   Mitch kicked his co-mate's leg. "He's pregnant you dolt! That's why his nest is so big this time around and why he's so aggressive. He's trying to make a safe space."

   Yamato nodded. "Yeah I know that but you were acting like something was wrong smart ass." He said before petting Avery's head softly.

   Mitch glanced at their mate. "And he's asleep yet again. Such a tired little omega. I need to get ready for work. I sometimes wish we hadn't decided someone needed to stay with him at all times." He sighed pecking his co-mate's cheek then their mate's head.

   Yamato nodded as he carefully laid Avery on his chest. "Yeah, but I'll watch after him." He said while gently cradling the sleeping Omega. "He should be sleeping for awhile so it should be alright." He said before nuzzling their mates cheek softly.

   Mitch smiled at them. "Kenji is coming by again to give him his back injections. Be nice, he's the only thing that is helping Avery cope with his pain and I will kill you if he quits on us."

   Yamato let out a small growl. "Well of course I have to be nice...I won't like it but I have to." He hissed before holding Avery closer to his chest.

   Mitch rolled his eyes walking over to Avery's closet to get dressed the omega liking to keep his mates clothes in his room. Avery nuzzled into his mate's neck.

   Yamato huffed and carefully held onto Avery while he looked at the time. "We've got a few hours until he's supposed to get here."

   Mitch came back over. "You're just mad because he and Avery flirt with each other." He said, gently rubbing the omega's belly.
