Im pacing back and forth, in our dorm  and Hector is trying to calm me down.

"Dude chill out", this is a good thing, he says.

"I just, I want her to say yes," I say.

"I know, and she will", he says.

"But bro, what if she doesnt? What if Josh comes back into the pictures and he's all like, nah trick i want the girl, and then Maya is like, I love the Mathews family", I groan.

"She would never leave you for Josh and you know that", Hector laughs.

"But what if", I say.

"There is no damn what if! That girl is in love with you! You have been together for like 7 years! She wouldnt have stayed with you that long if she didnt want to marry you," hector says.

"Okay but we are graduating soon, and what if she wants to see other people," I say.

"YOU'RE ALREADY PRE ENGAGED," Hector exclaims.

I sigh.

"Im just going to talk to her tonight and see where her head is at, and if she wants to get married, I will propose", I say.

"So your proposing before proposing," he asks confused.

"BITCH YOU'RE CONFUSING ME", I excalim.

"How do you think I feel," Hector groans.

I chuckle at him.

"Thanks for coming hec, seriously it means alot," I say.

"Whenever you need me Y/n, im there. We are forever", he pulls me into a hug.

"You got the ring right," I ask making him chuckle.

"Do I got the ring", he laughs.

"HELLZ YEAH I GOT THE RING! That bitch is pretty," he says.

"Yeah, been saving up for two years", I say proudly.

"If she doesn't say yes, she is definitely trippin," he laughs.

"Wait I thought you said there was no if's," I start to panick.

"Calm your nipples! It was hypothetical," he says.

"O-okay," I say.

"Your such a dork", he laughs.

"Yeah but she's my dork", Maya says as she enters the dorm.

I quickly hide the ring in my pocket before Maya see's anything.

"Whats that," she asks curiously.

"Oh, Hec was showing me some condoms and I took it from him", I lie.

"Why would you do that," She asks confused.

"Oh because, Riley said she wants to be celibate and didnt know how to tell him", I say.

"She what," they both gasp in unison.

"Uh, Hec lets go to the library," I say hinting at him.

"Oh hehe yeah, the library," He winks.

"Ok and im going to get in the shower", Maya says in the same tone as us with a laugh.

"So what did her parents say," hector asks as he helps me arrange the lights around a nearby park.

"They gave me their blessing. They were excited and stuff, I just... hope I can be the wife their daughter deserves," I sigh.

"You will be! But for now lets just worry about the proposal," hector smiles.
