Chapter 31

Happiness- The Fray.

Harry slammed the door, the house rattling . I stood there, regaining myself.

"Harry!" I shouted, retracing his steps. I tried opening the door, but it was locked. Pounding my fists, I called his name again.

"Harry I'm sorry okay?" I slapped my fist against the door. Thunder erupted, the flash of lighting made the dark hall light up. "Harry please." I felt my eyes sting with tears. all I want is to cuddle up with him, tell him I love him. "Harry." I cried. my voice coming out as a squeak.

I let the warm tears fall.

I'm self dependent.

I'm afraid of being by myself.

Letting my hand slide down the door, I whipped some of my tears off my face.

Pacing back down the hall, I grab the bag I brought, and searched for Liam.

"Liam?" I called out. my eyes searching the darkness. going down the stairs, I saw the brim light of the tv.

"Hey, are you and Harry..?" I nodded, answering his questions.

"Can you call me a cab?"

"Nonsense. you can drive my car. Driving always clears a mind." I nodded. wanting nothing more than to be alone. Liam

Handed me his keys and I thanked him before heading out into the pouring rain.

I clicked the unlock button, and the black car lit up.

Quickly hopping in, I turned on the heat.

I let out a sob, and took off down the highway. I have no idea where I'm going, maybe ill skip towns. I don't know, as long as I'm away from Harry.

The highway was empty, probably because I was 3 in the morning.

I sniffled, Harry running through my mind.

I saw my phone light up in the completely dark car. reaching over, his name crossed the screen.

My heart race quickened. answering it, his voice erupted on the other end.

"Ridley? where the fuck are you?" he asked, rushed. I sniffled.

"Harry I-"

"Come back here! it's pouring." the hot tears streamed down my face again. I focused on the twisting road in front of me, the rain pattering around the little black car.

"Harry-"

"Ridley, hurry up." he interrupted me again.

"Harry!" I shouted, this time he was silent. I swallowed, not knowing what to say. My windshield wipers were moving drastically to keep up with he rain around me. "I-I love you..." I coughed slightly. my head narrowing down.

"Ridley, I-"

It all happened in two seconds.

The screeching noise,

The sound of my scream,

And the ringing of my ears.

Harry's voice was the last thing floating though my mind.

"Harry!" I heard her shout. I kept

My head buried in the blankets of my bed. "Harry I'm sorry okay?" she called out again.

I don't want to talk to her right now. I felt my room vibrate with the eruption or the thunder.

"Harry, please." desperation picked at her voice. it killed me, every part of me ached for her, but I fought against it.

I sat in my bed for about half an hour, knowing she left. I listened to the rain pitter patter, every now and then the lighting would light the dark room up.

My head shot

Up as a light and subtle knock was sounded. My heart raced for Ridley, but my mind spoke otherwise.

"Liam?" I asked.

"Yeh, can I come in?" he asked.

"Yeah sure." I sat up in the bed, Liam held a candle in his hands.

"The powers out, if you didn't know. Its really coming down out there." I looked towards the windows, the rain blocking the view. Messing up my hair, I nodded. "I hope Ridleys made it back safely." my head shot towards Liam. She's out there?

"She left?" I asked, stress taking over. Liam nodded. "did she get a taxi?" I questioned. Liam shook his head no.

"She took my car" I sighed.

"Liam you idiot!" I shouted, getting up and sliding on my jeans. I pulled my white tee over my hair and searched for my phone.

"She looked like she needed to think as driving helps everyone think!" he protested.

"She's going to get in an accident." I said, looking for her name in my contacts.

Dialing it, it rang twice. I was relieved when she answered.

"Ridley, where the fuck are you?" I rushed out.

Harry I-" I heard shuffling on the other end.

"Get back here! it's pouring!"

"Harry I-"

"Hurry up!"

"Harry!" she shouted, I heard the rain falling on the windshield. I could tell she was driving fast. "I- I love you." The words rolled off her tongue. Lust and desperation filling them. My heart beat quickened,

"Ridley I -" I stopped talking in the midst of the sentence. I heard her scream, then a crashing noise. Everything fell silent. "Ridley?" god no please. "Ridley!?" I shouted, Liam gave me a questioning look.

"Baby!" my voice cracked, I gripped my phone. "Liam, call 911, report an accident. do you know where she was headed?" he shook

Face. "I think she was on a highway..." Liam nodded, staying silent. He dialed the ambulance, walking into the other room.

I hung up the phone, burying my

Head on my palm. shaking it, I messed up my curls. tears wetting my face.

"Please, don't be dead." I whispered.
