"i'm really in the mood for some strawberry iced tea"
addison covered her face as the cameras flashed all around her. she walked into the mini coffee shop which rested close to the wolfhard's home. she spotted her ex-lover, cameron sat at a table. his eyes covered by his dark sunglasses. paparazzi was the worst, it was hard to keep your privacy. she made a beeline to the table.
"hey stranger." she spoke softly as she looked at cameron. "hey to you too." she grimaced as she heard his voice.
she'd avoided him the whole year, her hiatus was his fault. she lost her motivation after being cheated on by him. the man who sat in front of her.
"want a coffee?" she shook her head. "i'm really in the mood for some strawberry iced tea." he nodded as he walked over to the counter to order.
the flashing seemed to get brighter and brighter. addy held her head. what was she doing here? she didn't even have an answer for that herself. maybe she thought the drama would stop if she let him apologise but slowly she realised the media would eat this up.
"here." his voice sounded gritty as he laid the see-through cup in front of her. "thanks for paying." he nodded and smiled.
he didn't even want her back, he just wanted to be friends. he knew how badly he hurt her and he wants to make it right. she lifted the cup and placed the straw between her plump lips. she sighed in content as the cold liquid ran down her throat.
"so, I wanted to apologise." cameron shakily ran a hand through his hair as he began his much need apology. "it was wrong of me to cheat and I know that, I regret it so much."
she listened to his apology. any good person would. just because he treated her badly once doesn't mean he wasn't willing to change. she always believed in second chances, that's how she was raised.
"I also know I can't change the past but I want you to know I feel terrible." she nodded. "I wanna be friends again, I wanna watch you be happy with someone else." she smiled, once again.
she reached over to hug him over the table. cameras flashed again but the pair didn't care. his apology mean the world to her, she knew it was genuine. once she pulled back from the hug, he raised his brows in questioning.
"of course, we can be friends." he smiled brightly. they both felt like so much weight had been lifted off their shoulders.
addy held his shaky hands and comforted his nerves. she repeatedly told him it was okay and she forgives him but he couldn't stop shaking. he was the happiest he'd been in awhile and he could already feel her positivity seeping into him.
note;
ha bet y'all thought I was gonna make cameron start the drama.
