" 1...2..3...4...5..6..."

I counted over and over again trying to match the rythm of the music that was currently blasting through my headphones.

I came to a stop over at the old bridge right in the middle of the forest and decided it was time to rest. I waited until my breathing had gone back to a steady rhythm while watching the river. I pulled out my phone from my sweat shirt jacket and tuned down the volume of the song before proceeding to do squats.

This was a regular routine for me. I woke up early and did some excercise before dawn, then off to school. I didn't do as often as you'd think but I did work out when I was in the mood.

By the time i was done with my workout, the morning dew had started to clear and the sun was rising. I began jogging the opposite way that led out the forest and into a park then head home.

I got home and walked to my room, stripping out of my sweat filled clothes then waļked over to my bathroom. After a quick shower, I heard towards my room where my uniform was already laying on my bed.

My uniform was a simple white button shirt and a mid knee plaid skirt (or what it used to be) which was topped of with our schools blazer.

I hated wearing the stupid blazer/ jacket but it was a necessary requirement for dress code. It had the schools colour which were green and white. The oddest combination of colour I have ever heard of.

After putting on my uniform, I styled my caramel hair into a ponytail making sure only a few of my extensions were visible. I apply just a little make up to ensure my features stand out but not too much.

Honk....honk......honk......honk

That was probably Clara and knowing her she'll keep honking till i'm down. With one last look in the mirror, i grab my bag and proceed downstairs and i'm out the door.

"You sure took your time getting ready". I gave her the middle finger and she laughed clearly amused.

"So.. You excited for school".

"Yeah I'm so excited that I can barely control myself" I replied in a sarcastic tone.

"Must you always be this negative?"

"And must you always be so positive?"

Oh right I haven't introduced her right. Well this is Clara Fields daughter (adopted but whatever) of Shean and Victoria Fields. With her blond hair and curves and her outward personality, she's easily one of the most popular girls in school.

Clara and I were opposites. She was kind, outgoing, cheerful and well liked while i was seclusive, not so kind, inward and definitely not cheerful. Yet we were friends, bestfriends even.

"So how was It?"

"How was what?"

"The session".  And there goes my happy morning.

I went therapy 2 times a week and i hated each moment of it. And each time was more depressing than the last. "Same old same old"

She lifted her gaze to mine, waiting for me to say more. As if sensing my hesistance she drops it and focuses her attention on the road.

I loved Clara but I wish she'd tune down the over protectiveness.

"I'm thinking of joining the school paper" she stated, eyes still glued on the road ahead.

"The paper? Why?"

"Its needed for my college application since I'm not like someone with straight A's".
