Being the heroes of Paris takes a lot of work, and so does having two troublesome children named Emma and Hugo. Timebreaker was a simple akumatized victim, but the Timekeeper who wants nothing but to destroy Ladybug and Chat Noir while they still have no real good idea of their powers, was no joke.
Fighting the bad guys while bringing your children along with you is stupid, but they had no choice. Maybe that's why it happened, maybe that's why Emma and Hugo got sucked into the past.
