Short chapter, but the adventure is just beginning. Thank you for being patient with me.

"Maman!" Said the young 10 year old girl as she reached for her mothers hand in the sea of people

"Emma, come along now sweetie, don't get lost in the crowd."

Emma and her mother were currently browsing around for school supplies. It was the time of year when all the parents get a break from their children and go on with their daily lives.

Well, as normal as the life of a superhero can be.

As busy as her life was, Marinette Dupain Agreste-Cheng always tried to spend as much time with her daughter as possible. Of course it was difficult, seeing as lately there have been rumors about a 'vigilante'  in Paris.

This worried the bluenette deeply, she didn't want another Volpina incident to happen. Granted, she was a young and dumb girl back then, and jealousy was a contagious disease. None the less, the woman decided to keep quiet and deal with the problem when it comes.

The two blue haired girls walked around the mall enjoying each other's company when Emma pointed at something.

"Maman! Look, its Auntie Alya!" She said running to the said woman.

"Oh," said the brown headed girl. "If it isn't little Emma." Picking the girl up in a hug.

Marinette walked up to the two, "well not so little anymore." She said ruffling Emma's hair.

"Mom!" she said trying to fix her hair back to it's original style.

"Hey girl, it's been so long! How've you been?"

Marinette sighed, "same old same old, opened my own studio, busy with Paris, and let's not forget missing my best friend."

Giving Alya a hug the three girls left the store after searching for supplies.

Beep beep.

Marinette's phone sounded, and she picked it up to hear her beloved husband's voice.

"Bonjour, chaton." She greeted.

"M'lady. I know your with Emma right now but I need you to come to the Eiffel tower."

Hearing the seriousness in his voice, Marinette nodded.

"Alright. Don't do anything stupid till I get there Chaton."

"Never."

The corner of her mouth turned upwards when she hung up, but then grew serious.

"Alya, I know you have things to do but can you watch Emma for a bit?"

"Go do your thing, we'll be cheering you on." The bespectacled girl smiled.

And so the hero sprung into action.

Because yet again, Paris, would need Ladybug.
