Bright light surrounded the heroine as Marinette Dupain-Cheng would become the famous hero Ladybug.
Yo-yo in hand, Marinette dived through the sky, making her way to meet Chat Noir.
As she zipped through the misty air, she stared down at the city that she had lived in all her life. Confidence suddenly rushing through her, while the urge to protect her city became stronger.
Arriving at the Eiffel tower, she was met face to face with her hero partner Chat Noir, but she knew him as her husband. Adrien Agreste.
"What seems to be the matter Chat?" She asked as they looked down at the city below.
"There," he pointed to a place near his father's house.
A vortex that seemed to be invisible to everyone except them.
"What is that."
"I don't know but we need to see if it's dangerous. Let's go."
"Right behind you, M'lady."
And the two heroes made their way to the invisible vortex.
Landing on their feet, Ladybug and Chat Noir stared at the vortex with calculating eyes.
"It doesn't look like a vortex per say. Maybe it's a portal." She said.
"Well I know the purfect way to find out." Said the mischievous Cat holding a stone.
"Go ahead Kitty."
Throwing the stone inside, the two heroes waited for any sign of danger. Yet there wasn't.
And so, daring to take it further, Ladybug, walked closer and closer to the portal. Whispers of conversations she somehow finds nostalgic somehow appearing as she put her hand inside the portal.
Pushing it farther and farther, until something grabbed her hand. Jolting backwards, Ladybug slid into a defensive position.
"Ladybug!"
"I'm okay," she said getting up.
"There's somethong weird about that portal, Chat." She told him, a worried look clear on her face.
"What are you talking about, M'lady? What's on the other side?"
"We can't let anyone go though the portal, it could destroy Paris, if not the world itself."
Chat held his wife my the shoulders and shook her, trying to make her calm down.
"Marinette! What's on the other side!"
She looked at her husband, and looked back at the portal, her eyebrows knitted together in worry. This wasn't a simple akuma from way back when. This was things that shouldn't be dealt with.
She looked back at her husband, seeing the worry in his deep green eyes, she finally spoke.
"The past, it's a portal to the past, Chat."
