"I'm going to fucking kill him!" Fred yelled, slamming his phone down beside him. He stood up from the couch and stomped around the living room, anger flooding inside of him.
George ran out of his room at the commotion. "What the hell, Fred? What's wrong with you?!"
"He cheated on her George! Our douche of a brother cheated on the sweetest, most loving girl we know."
"He didn't," George whispered.
Fred nodded sadly, sinking down onto the floor with his back against the wall and knees pulled up to his chest. He sighed, putting his hands over his eyes and rubbing.
"Hey Freddie, it'll be okay."
"I don't think it will Georgie. Not this time."
. . .
Hermione sat in her car, still debating if she should get out and meet Draco even though she was already at the place he told her he'd be.
Sure she wanted to know the truth about what was going on, but deep down she was unsure if she really wanted to feel the pain she knew the truth would cause.
Sighing, Hermione got out of her car and locked it. She walked up to the Hogs Head, her mind still fighting itself. Opening the door, she walked inside and looked around for the blonde haired man. Seeing him sitting in a booth facing away from her, she took a deep breath before making her way toward him.
"Hi Draco," Hermione said softly, trying to force a small smile onto her face.
"Hermione," Draco replied, getting up to hug her. She accepted the hug, hugging him back, before they both sat down. "How are you?"
"Well, I have a feeling I'm about to be extremely upset. So not that well. And you?"
"About the same." He sent her a sad smile, clearly upset that he was the one who had to tell her about what happened and that it wasn't her fiancé himself telling her.
Hermione nodded, taking a sip of the butterbeer he had ordered for her. A waiter then came up and asked if they would like anything else. Draco said he was fine but Hermione ordered a firewhiskey, figuring she would need something stronger after this.
"Well, start talking so we can get this over with," Hermione mumbled, putting her face in her hands before looking up at Draco.
The man sighed before starting the unfortunate story.
. . .
"Ronald Bilius Weasley get the hell out of my apartment!" Hermione screamed.
"Baby, what's wrong?" Ron asked, rushing out of the room. He had no idea that Draco had just told Hermione what had happened between him and Lavender.
"Don't 'baby' me! You know what you did and don't you dare lie about it!"
"Hermione, please, what did I do?" Ron pleaded.
"You fucked Lavender, Ron! Twice. In our bed! How could you? I thought you loved me?! We're engaged for Godrics sake!"
"I- Hermione. I do love you. I do, I promise." The boy was flustered, not expecting this confrontation.
"The hell you do. Get out, Ronald. I want you gone before I get back and I never want to see your stupid cheating face again."
And with that Hermione opened the door, slamming it behind her as she walked out. Tears were streaming down her face as she thought of somewhere to go. With only one place in mind, she apparated to Weasley's Wizard Wheezes hoping the Weasley she wanted to see would be there.
. . .
Fred and George were restocking inventory for the shop when they heard a loud pop, indicating that someone had apparated in.
The two were a bit confused as the store was closed until they heard the sound of crying, immediately realizing it was probably Hermione since Draco had contacted them earlier about their conversation.
Fred's eyes widened and he rushed out of the inventory closet, embracing the crying witch in his arms as soon as he reached her. George stood back watching before slowly making his way over.
"He cheated on me," She whispered, sobbing quietly. "Twice."
"I know 'Mione. I know. And I'm so incredibly sorry our jerk of a brother did that to you," George said, sending her a sad smile.
"You didn't deserve any of that," Fred whispered, holding the witch closer to him.
Hermione sniffles, yawning a bit. It had been an extremely long day for her and she was clearly tired. She snuggled into Fred, comforted by the warmth that was radiating off of his body.
"How about you stay here tonight," George said, trying to help his brother. He saw the way his eyes had lit up when Hermione had cuddled into him more. "Probably isn't good if you stay alone tonight."
Fred sent his brother a grateful look.
"Okay," Hermione agreed. The witch stood up from her sitting position on the floor, stumbling a bit from how exhausted she was and the slight headache all the yelling and crying had given her.
Fred quickly stood up, holding her steady. "You're not in the position to walk up all those stairs. Let me carry you, 'Mione."
"Okay," She yawned, raising her arms like a child.
Fred chuckled before picking her up bridal style, carrying her up the stairs. He opened the door to his room, laying the witch on the bed before covering her with the sheets.
"Goodnight Hermione."
"Night night, Freddie. Thank you," She mumbled before falling into a dreamless sleep.
