Today I have try outs to be a guitarist in this band called calpurnia, I'm really nervous. The people in the band are my age and some a few years older, which is comforting I guess. "Y.N, lets go!" My mom yelled, "coming!" I screamed, grabbing my guitar and running out my room.

We made it to the building, it's an old studio lot, looks pretty cool and vintage. Guessing this is where they record music, "I'll wait out here, good luck baby" my mom blew a kiss, I blew one back. "Isn't that cute" someone said at the door, I looked over. A curly haired boy stood by the front door, wiggling his eyebrows at me, checking me out. That must be Finn, he's a singer and guitarist for the band. I laughed and walked into the building with him.

"You're Y.N, right?" He asked, "That's me" I said, "cool, just follow me" He said, I did. We went into another room, the recording room. In there were the rest of the band mates and the others helping them out. "Everyone this is this Y.N, she's auditioning" he smiled, "hi" I said, nervously.

"Okay so, can you play Where Is My Mind by the Pixies? That was on the list of songs to learn" a girl said, I'm guessing that's Ayla, another guitarist. "Yeah of course, should I play it?" I asked, "yes"

              I started to play it, I was thinking about the song instead of messing up, i was real nervous. I haven't messed up yet, "maybe sing" Finn whispered, i gulped. I didn't sign up to sing, but I'll have to.

                "With your feet in the air and your head on the ground, try this trick and spin it, yeah" I started to sing, not too loud, but a soft voice. They looked pleased.

                  I did a few more songs, they talked after.  "okay, I want to talk with you privately" Finn said, standing up, taking the guitar from my hands. Everyone left. "What's up?" I asked, nervously.

               "That was..AMAZING!" He said, "Really? You think so?" I smiled, "yes! We definitely think you're perfect for the band, we even canceled the rest of the auditions." He said, I could feel a smile stretch my cheeks out, out of excitement I flung myself into finn, hugging him tightly, his sweater was really soft. He laughed and wrapped his arms around me, gently moving up and down my back.
