And now the story starts, don't forget to vote and comment babes. xoxo

It all started the first day of our sophomore year....

"Justin please tell me you aren't wearing that to school," Nica said as she plopped onto my bed.

"So what if I am? It's our first day of sophomore year, no one will even attempt to look at me."

Nica wasn't just my best friend but my "stylist" and basically a sister to me. We've known each other since 5th grade and have been close ever since.

"Yeah but you will be with me and I rather die then have you look like you just came from the dump."

She stood up quickly and walked to my closet like she was on a mission.

"This will do," she said after 10 minutes of throwing all of my clothes onto my bed. She settled for a white button up, regular jeans, and my white hightop converse.

"This better be worth it," I mumbled as I walked to the bathroom to change. I know me and Nica have been friends for a long time but I've just never felt comfortable changing in front of her.

I slowly walked out and did a playful spin, "You look great! Now come on before we're late."

Nica's mom was outside waiting for us, she promised to drive us the first day because she knows how the traffic could be because we do live in Washington, DC and it's always busy.

The car ride was silent the whole way to school because Nica and her mother got into a argument like always. She usually stayed at my house when her and her mother argued but she said it wasn't that serious and stayed.

Soon enough, we pulled into the parking lot of school, "Thank you Ms.Tate," I said as I stepped out.

"You're welcome honey," she said with her sweet southern accent.

Nica and I locked arms and made a pact before we walked into the school, it was kind of like a tradition.

"Okay Justin, promise that throughout this whole year you will never change and we will stay best friends."

I dramatically put my hand over my heart, "Cross my heart and hope to die. Now Nica, promise that you won't badger me about my clothes everyday and that we will stay best friends."

She laughed, "I don't know about the first part, maybe we can work something out but cross my heart and hope to die."

We spit on our hands and shook on it, today might not be so bad. As we walked inside the school, it was like the hallways cleared. All eyes were on us, so I thought. Truthfully, all eyes were on Anthony as he came strolling into school behind us like he didn't have a care in the world. Even the teachers watched as he walked with grace.

He was the kid everyone loved but not me, as much as I wanted to hold him down and kiss him until we were both out of breath, I just didn't care. I tried to see what everyone else saw in him but it didn't work.

I guess I wasn't paying attention to my surroundings because as I kept walking, I bumped into a locker and fell backwards. It seemed like the whole school was staring at me, but to my surprise Anthony came rushing over to help me.

"Are you okay?!" He sounded like he actually cared but I couldn't speak. My mouth opened and no words came out, I was memorized by his green eyes.

As soon as Nica saw what was happening, she answered for me, "He's okay Anthony, just a little dizzy."

He looked at Nica confused, "Yeah, dizzy...."

"I'm fine," I blurted.

He jumped at my eagerness, "Okay well I guess I'll see you guys later?"

He turned onto his heels and walked away. I don't know what came over me, maybe the fall knocked the wind out of me to were I couldn't speak? Nica and I glanced at each other and we knew that this could possibly be the start of our high school life as sophomores.
