"Yes I know dear," Aunt Alexa assures (Y/N), "I know it's hard to be a new foreign exchange student in Tokyo" "yea, "mom" I know that!" (Y/N) takes a scoop of her cereal

"You better be prepared, (Y/N)! School's tomorrow. And luckily we had the perfect time to do school shopping yesterday." Aunt Alexa's eyes sparkled

(Y/N's POV)

I sighed, I missed the subway and the food parks and the late sunsets me feeding the squirrels in the park thrice a week

Too bad I have to finish college
here...I mean I'm gonna graduate here. So it's gonna take days to wait to go back home in Manhattan

I went to get my cellphone from my study desk that was beside my Toshiba laptop that was charging.

I called my friend, Elise, who was living in Manhattan too. "YOLO?" She asked. "Hey! It's me, Y/N!" I said in a swift voice

"Guess what girl! Good news, I won in the 'Run for Charity' race along with my niece, Katrina." She squealed confidentially

"Eep! Yes! Congratulations!!" I yelled, the birds from their branches flew away because of my scream. Then I heard familiar footsteps coming from the stairs.

It was mom. She opened my door sternly. "What was the scream all about, (Y/N) (L/N)! I am meditating."

"Sorry, mom" I grabbed my guitar and I started to strum the song 'The one that got away'

"Since when were you an expert of the guitar?" She asked swiftly, crossing her arms

Her smile was unusual. "Since 4th grade, Mom.." I replied, poking my hand to the G-sharp chord

"Y/N, come down here for lunch!" My auntie called, I can already hear the aroma of whatever she was cooking I went down stairs and stormed in straight to the kitchen. "What are we eating?" I asked Aunt Alexa

"Sashimi and potato croquettes," she smiled. I nodded mildly, getting my plate from the cabinet that was a bit dusty.

"When are we gonna do our.....spring cleaning?" I ask, frowning at the small cobwebs. She used her tongs to put the half of the sashimi and one of the potato croquettes on my plate, along with my glass of mango juice

"Bon appetit!!" I smiled...

"Hey, mom. I'm gonna go Skype with Edina..after I floss," I go straight to the bathroom. "Speaking of her, where does she live now?" She was looking at the blue sky of Tokyo. "She's living her life in Paris now!" I was getting the floss from the drawer.

"Nice! I was also planning of going there...actually." She thought. My eyes sparkled. "OMG! Really?! Then I can see Edina!" "I'll plan sometime," Then I pouted, "there's always a next time, right?" She smiled

I turn on my laptop and go to Skype and click on the contact of Edina. A screen appeared on my laptop. In appeared a room that was big but was messy. That was like Edina's room

"Hey!" Edina smiled at me and waved big. "Yo! How's life in the city of love?" I placed my feet on my study table. "Fine! Haven't found a boyfriend!" She rolled my eyes jokingly at me. "Really, dude! Paris is the city of love, its like your the only girl who doesn't have a partner!" I teased her. "Oh shut up!" She rolled her eyes again. "Are you helping your parents pay bills and stuff?" She asked. I shrugged. "Yep, only rarely."

I did a big yawn. "Hey, sounds like you're sleepy, do you wanna call sometime?" She was concerned. "Mhm!" I tried to stretch my legs in a lazy way. She hang out and I turn off my laptop
