(Y/N's POV)
I woke up after the flashback, I cannot stop thinking about their parents, their yells, their shouts and rants....I just miss them, I start to cry. I hear fast footsteps on the stairs. Aunt Alexa kicked the door. "Oh my God, sweetheart, are you ok?" She rushed to me and hugged me.
"I-I dreamt about the *sniffs* T-time when m-mom and D....Dad divorced." I couldn't stop crying. I never knew this would happen in my whole entire life, even though I had a lot of friends back then, I just hope I get some friends in there, maybe the school principal has my documents and other stuff.
"Alright, hon, get ready for school...Oh! I have a surprise." She held my hand and let me downstairs to a closet. She opened and took out a lilac backpack with an emoji keychain. "Oh my gosh, Mom, thanks!" I directly hugged her tight.
I wanted cereal for breakfast for breakfast, I mean I wanted Pop tarts. I'm just lucky, I secretly packed it in my luggage before we left for Tokyo, and it expires on 2019!
I got milk from the fridge first before getting the box of pop tarts in a cabinet. I placed them both on the table. I shoved the cereal on my favorite bowl like a psycho who's eating pop tarts for the first time.
She gasped. "Where did that cereal come from I thought it was in the kitchen back home?" I giggled. "Silly, auntie! I sneaked it in the kitchen I put it in my luggage before leaving for Tokyo!"
"Ok, ok, well you're not sneaky!" She replied, laughing. I stared to eat because I knew that today is a school day.
After I washed my bowl quickly in the kitchen sink, I quickly went to my room to pack my diary, my phone, pencil case, food and beverages. Now I'm all set for school.
Since I'm 17, I already know how to drive, but the car that I'm driving to school today is my mom's friend in Tokyo, she is just a foreigner who can speak straight Japanese, she lend me her car for the school year, luckily
Mom kissed me on the forehead. "Have a great day at school, sweetie!" "I just hope, Mom!" I opened the door and went to the garage to get my car.
Then I started the engine and rode off to school. It takes me 14 minutes to get to school, they had a huge parking lot for guests and the area for the faculty parking lot.
Japan is really high tech. Wow! I parked in one of the available slots in the guests parking area. "I grabbed my bag next to the seat next to me. I sponged it on my back.
I opened the door, a lot of students were scattered around, chatting about random topics, some of them were holding their phones.I am searching for my locker, probably each locker has every name of each and every student labeled. I found mine at last. My lockers is.....beside....Kumi, who was leaning lazily beside her locker.
"Hello, new girl!" She giggled, holding her phone. "Hey!" I said, smiling. "Welcome to Nagoya international academy!"
"Nice name of the school," I said anxiously. "Let's go to the principals office. So she can give you you're school map."
She grabbed my hand and we ran past the hallway. After a few minutes we've reached the principals office. I did a small gulp. I remember in my old school, our principal sometimes go to our classroom. But I just hope she won't go to any pf our classrooms....Gulp.....just at least one!
"Konnichiwa! How may I help you?" She asked. "Oh! I'm the new foreign exchange student from New York! The name's (Y/N) (L/N)!" I bowed in a traditional way. I studied their culture and tradition before leaving for Tokyo. again
"Oh, alright, we've been expecting you, miss (L/N), welcome to Nagoya International Academy!" She greeed me politely.
Before me and Kumi left, principal handed me over the school map. Boy, this is so confusing though.
"Don't worry, pal," Kumi patted my back, looking at the frown to my school map, "We know that they're kinda tricky and complicated to remember each area." Gee, this school is kinda big, but my old school back home is way more bigger.
I slinger my bag and followed Kumi to our first class which was on the first floor where we had to take the old, boring stairs. If I was a genie, I'd wish there would be elevators here, so everyone would never be tired. No offense
I saw my first teacher. She greeted us. I sat down next to Kumi. "Welcome back, girls and boys! I've heard from principal Nagoya that we have a new classmate here today!" God. This is why being a new student is so annoying as hell.
"(Y/N), why wouldn't you come forward to tell something about yourself."
Oh....did she mean I'm gonna tell her that my parents divorced. No! I have to keep it to myself.
So I made my way out of my chair while Kumi just stood there. I only positioned myself near the teachers desk.
"Hello, my name's (Y/N) (L/N) I am 17, and I just learned how to drive a car. I like to play table tennis and to play the guitar, I am a foreign exchange student from New York." I just plastered a fake smile......
Everyone looked at our teacher, who was just freezing in her position. "Oh, alright, Konnichiwa, (Y/N) Welcome!" She was pointing at a seat next to Kumi. "That's your permanent place."
Me and Kumi gave each other victory smirks, and I quickly sat down, I never wanted to take off my jacket. "Now, give (Y/N) some space for her lunch, and don't mob her with too much questions!"

The school bell rang. I remember the time that our old school bell in my old boring school is way more annoying and more like an ear rape to our ears.
"Off you go, kids." She waved her hands. I grabbed my lunch bag from my locker. Woah. This cafeteria is so cool. The windowless ceiling is so cool, I can see the sky now. It's like so amazing, if only this hook was up till night, we can go see the stars. That would be nice!

It was dismissal, some students when to this building while someone went to the same direction where me and Kumi are walking.
"Oh, that building over there," She points to that small building that's coated in flesh. "That's where the others take the bus, sometimes parents have extra shift that's why they don't have the time to fetch their kids."
"Really, back home, I had to take the school bus!" I giggled. Kumi punched my arm playfully. "Don't tell me you missed the bus a lot?" She laughed back. "A lot!!" I replied.
"Oh my dad's there. Bye!" Kumi ran off from the entrance gates to rush to her dad's car. Which reminds me of dad. I know I can't keep my problem to myself, maybe I should tell Kumi. She's the only one I trust.
I went to the guest parking lot as I swinger my keys.
--time skip: 3:06--
Aunt Alexa glanced in the window to see a car passing by, it was me. "Hey!" I smiled, swinging my backpack. "How's school?" She asked, she seemed to be curios why I was happy on the very first day of school.
"Fine, I met Kumi!" I squealed. "Good for you, dear!"
