The eyeless monster left the girl alone for the rest of the night then, and she spent most of that alone time gazing out into the forest. It compelled her yet terrified her at the same time. She was so curious as to why this entire place felt so evil. Often times she lost herself in thought, but tonight, something, or well, someone, snapped her out of her daydream. Out in the forest stood a figure; a figure clad in what would have been considered casual apparel. He wore a stark white sweatshirt on the top half of his body, and on the bottom half, black pants, assumably jeans. One more thing was that bright red blood was splattered on his clothes, the color was illuminated by the bright moon and white snow; the red color contrasting against the white. His hood was up, covering his face but she could see what looked like long black hair poke out from under the white fabric.
Panic struck her and she immediately felt in danger. The man stood there silently, staring at the building until slowly his gaze rose and he looked right at her. She gasped slightly and froze on the spot. Vienna felt the need to back away from the window, and very quickly at that. However, she couldn't, she found herself unable to move as she starred at this ominous man. Calmly, it seemed, the man moved forward and soon disappeared inside the building. She stood there for a moment in utter shock. His face was as white as his sweatshirt. He also had a horrifying Cheshire cat smile carved into his face, elongating his mouth in a permanent smile. His eyes were wide and rimmed with black. He was nightmarish. Scrambling away from the window, the angel rushed to the hospital bed in the room, she sat up near the top and stared at the door in fear. The man scared her, what if he was just like the eyeless one? What if he was coming here to kill her? Thought after destructive thought ran through her mind and she quickly grew paranoid. Vienna could hear footsteps near the door to the room she was in. It took all of her willpower not to hide under the bed, instead, she decided to hang her head and curl into a ball at the top of the bed, furthest from the door.
Eyeless Jack soon unlocked the door and entered the small white room. He shook his head at her and sighed deeply. "You were in the window weren't you?" He sounded angry but also very tired. Too tired to harm her possibly. "Come on now then, if you're so curious." She heard him say with a slight yawn. The girl looked up with wide eyes at the man, only to be distracted by the sight of him. EJ had only a black long-sleeved shirt and faded old jeans on, along with shoes of course. He only wore his mask, showing his grey skin on his hands and neck, she could also see his ruffled light brown hair peeking out in all directions from behind the blue wooden mask. For some reason seeing the human qualities of actual hands and hair surprised her, and Vienna grew curious as to see what he looked like with the mask off entirely. She must've been sitting and staring for longer than she thought because Eyeless Jack started walking towards her. She winced back from him in fear as he extended a hand towards her. But a gentle "Come on. " Eased her into taking his hand and getting off the hospital bed. "Be good." He said to her as he brought her to the door, his words were calm, but were said so threateningly she instantly shifted her gaze to the floor and her heart skipped a beat.
"Who was that?" Came softly from Vienna. Sure he scared her, but he was right, she was very curious. Eyeless Jack paused for a minute as he held her hand and led her down the hallway that her room led out to.
"A friend, of mine. " His tone of voice was quite hesitant as if he wasn't sure of that word, friend. Vienna just nodded and went quiet after that, not pushing for anything else. They walked down the hall and even two flights of stairs in silence. The hospital started looking very nice and updated over here, no tiles were missing, the ceiling was intact, there looked to be new parts of the walls and new lights looked to be added. Vienna took all of this in and they reached a waiting room filled with all sorts of couches and soft looking chairs. Standing in the middle of the waiting room was the man from before. Upon seeing him Vienna folds her wings close to her body and she hides very slightly behind EJ. She didn't know what this man could do, maybe he was worse than the very man she hid behind.
