Part 4: A possible family

Trafalgar Law couldn't help but be excited when he watched Scarlett disappear with his address. Clearing his throat he looked to the sky while feeling himself lean back against that of his car. A smile tugged at his face after so long it was strange to feel it.

He was happy with his daughter Cora that was for sure but the possibility to give his little girl a mother she can turn to brought him unspeakable joy. Glancing up when he heard the school bell ring across the small school he enrolled his daughter in ring, he saw the flash of raven black hair come pretty much running out before feeling the collide of a small body against his legs before he coiled his hands against the back of his daughter. 

"Did you have a good day at School Cora-Ya?" He murmured gently, kneeling to wrap his arms fully around his daughter lifting her up and placing her in the car. " Daddy...Why don't I have a mommy like other parents do?" The little girl questioned looking kinda sad which made the older man freeze staring at his daughter before a ragged sigh left his lips." I promise we will be  family I will tell you things when we get home..Were going to have company tonight..Remember that Nurse that works with me at the Hospital. She's coming for dinner tonight." He said gently. Rubbing the top of his only child's hair and made his way around the car and into the drivers seat. 

Across town Scarlett stood in her's and her brothers house. The red haired woman was nervous at best she really didn't want to admit that she had a huge massive crush on the Doctor she worked with daily. But holding up a dress for a moment before freezing, the golden eyed woman slipped down on top of her bed feeling kinda sad and fearing the worse. 

"What am I doing? He visits his Girlfriends tomb and than asks me out to dinner at his place with his daughter.." The female whispred, throwing the dress she had been considering a way. Running her hands through her long hair before hearing her bedroom door open to reveal her fraternal twin brother older by several minutes. 

"Shouldn't you be ready by now for your date?" Kid Teased walking in and picking up his sisters thrown clothes, frowning at the underwear but shrugged it off before setting the pile on the end of the bed. " What's wrong Scarlett?" He said soon after, sitting beside his younger sister, folding both his hands together before hearing another sigh come from her mouth.

"I don't know how to feel. Law asked me to come to his house for dinner tonight but he did it after we had visited the graveyard. He's been alone for so many years raising his Daughter by himself.."she whispered, lowering her head onto her own clasped infront of her before he raised an eyebrow. "You mean that raven haired man who was on the back of your motorcycle earlier today...The Doctor you work with at the hospital..Well I admit I am kinda concerned but I think you should go. I know I am usually the hot head of things but you two seemed to like being together. The way you talk about him the happiness you feel.. Yes Cora may be his daughter with whoever that woman was he was with ten years ago.. It's clear hes ready for a life now. and its kinda creeping me out being the reasonable one.." He replied suddenly getting up and fleeing from his sister's bedroom.." And you should wear something really cute!" Kid called over his shoulder before the door closed behind him.

Back at Law's place, he had given his daughter a bath and smiled while helping her with what little homework she had to do. His mind was between what transpired and he was going to do about it. It made him nervous.

Standing in the kitchen, his eyes turned to a picture he had taken of him and the woman he loved, his eyes softening admiring the hair he ran his fingers through so many times and while releasing what could have felt like a thousandth sigh since he came home earlier  from work he imagined for just a split second running his tattooed fingers through the crimson red locks of the Nurse.

Covering his face he felt the familiar thump of his thought to be dead heart before his eyes closed to relax for a brief moment.
