Chapter 2

The next morning Chanyeol wakes up for his first day at school. He quickly got dressed and made breakfast. His mum was already at work so he needed to make sure the house was locked before he left. As he was just about to leave he heard the scream again, but this time he was so sure it was real. He quickly raced outside to find where the scream came from however, there was no one outside just quietness.

"Damn I think I'm going to go crazy" Chanyeol sigh as he continue his way to school

"YO CHANYEOL!!" Sehun shouted running over to Chanyeol as he got out of his house
"Let's walk to school together" sehun suggested happily waving to his mum before continue to walk

"How was the party?" Chanyeol ask as he left early with his mum

"Oh man it was so good, you should of been there. Kyungsoo was dancing on the table and Kai was swimming naked in the pool. I guess they drank a bit too much last night" sehun explained laughing to himself as he tries to remember what happened.

"Seemed like an interesting night" Chanyeol replied

"Ready for your new school?" Sehun ask looking at Chanyeol

"I'm a bit nervous but I feel like it will be fun" Chanyeol smiled. However Chanyeol couldn't get the scream out of his head. What if someone was in danger or hurt or was calling for help and he didn't save them. Chanyeol should ask sehun if he heard the scream as well but Chanyeol doesn't want sehun to think his crazy.

"Chanyeol is something on your mind?" Sehun asks concern

"Uh.. Sehun I know this is going to sound weird but have you heard a scream?" Chanyeol asks as sehun's face expression changes from happy to sad.

"Why are you asking this now man" sehun says annoyed

"Why do you know something?" Chanyeol says worriedly

"No I don't know, stop asking, stop it" sehun yelled annoyed as Chanyeol sigh to the sudden change in sehun's voice

"Okay I'm sorry" Chanyeol says softly

"No it's okay, but please don't say what you said to me to anyone. It can get you into trouble" sehun warms as they finally reach the school.

Chanyeol was confused, what do you mean it would get me into trouble? Am I suppose to ignore the screams? What is happening that I don't know?

During class Chanyeol introduce himself to the students as everyone gave him a warm welcoming. Chanyeol sat in his seat by the window.
Then a boy walked into the class late, his head was down low as the teacher walks over to him

"Mr Byun Baekhyun why are you late again? Do you want me to send you home to your father?" The teacher growled angrily as Baekhyun shivered

"N-no p-please don't.. I'm sorry" he spoke softly as if he was frighten by the teacher.
Chanyeol couldn't help but feel bad for him, this small boy looked scared and lost. Chanyeol knew there was something off with the whole scene in front of him.

"Very well Baekhyun, go take your seat" the teacher hissed as she continued to teach the class while Baekhyun walked to his seat which was beside Chanyeol.

Chanyeol had a feeling of him wanting to protect this little boy, he just felt like this kid needed someone to be by his side.

After class finish everyone quickly rushed out of the door while Baekhyun was putting his books in his bag slowly.
Chanyeol got off his seat and decided to talk to him.

"Hello" Chanyeol smiled warmly, the boy didn't lift his head up but just replied "hi"

"I'm new here, my name is Chanyeol" he smiled even if the boy couldn't see it

"I need to go" Baekhyun quietly said while he got out of his chair and grab his bag

"Hey wait where are you going?" Chanyeol asked confused but Baekhyun was already out of the class room.

Chanyeol felt defeated and decided to go find Sehun and the others for lunch. They were sitting on a table together eating their lunch and laughing.

Chanyeol walked up to them as they smiled and wave.

"Chanyeol how was your first class?" Kyungsoo asks happily

"It was good, I'm starting to like this school" Chanyeol replies

"That's great I think we have P.E together" Kai smiles 

"Really that's awesome" Chanyeol laughs happily until he thought about the little boy in class. How he just looked sad

"Guys do you know Baekhyun?" Chanyeol ask then all their facial expressions drop just like sehun's earlier today.

"Chanyeol did you bring your lunch today?" Chen randomly says avoiding the question as if Chanyeol never said it at all

"Chen why are you ignoring the question?" Chanyeol asks suspiciously

"I'm not, I rather not talk about Byun" he coldly answers which annoyed Chanyeol

"Why? Did he do something?" Chanyeol pushes

"Chanyeol stop asking questions you don't want to know the answers to" luhan sigh

"I want to know" Chanyeol says

"No you don't" Chen cuts in

"Why? Why can't someone just answer me" Chanyeol pleads

"Fine! Chanyeol, Baekhyun is a sick kid. He is ill, and you should stay away from him or you'll get sick as well" Sehun shouted annoyed

"His sick?" Chanyeol ask shocked

"Yes" sehun assures him

Chanyeol became quiet thinking that makes sense for Baekhyun to be acting that way. But if Baekhyun is sick why is everyone looking annoyed when I ask? Why hide it? Why do I feel like the pieces are not making sense. Why do I feel like my heart is hurting. I need to find Baekhyun and let him tell me his sick. Maybe I could help him?
