Chapter 3

Everything can just start off with one word to change how the person feels, and this word was 'sick'. Chanyeol kept thinking about how is Baekhyun sick, what is his illness? Is there a cure?

But the more Chanyeol thinks the more worried he becomes. Chanyeol decides that tomorrow at school he will confront Baekhyun and let him answer all his questions. But then Chanyeol thinks that would be rude, what happens if Baekhyun doesn't want to answer? What if his is scared?
And just like that Chanyeol is back to square one.

CHANYEOL's P.O.V

"Mum have you spoken to Mr Byun? The one who lives next door to us?" I ask thinking if someone would tell me the truth it would be mum

"Sorry Chanyeol I haven't had the chance, been really busy at work. Why did something happened?" She asks concern as I shook my head

"No mum don't worry, I was thinking let's invite them over to our house for dinner. I really want to get to know our neighbours" I smiled as she nods

"I think that's a wonderful idea, let me go ask Ms Oh" she replies about to grab her phone

"NOO!! Mum I meant Just Mr Byun and his son" I explained as she shook her head

"Dear, the rules are if we invite someone over. We need to invite the whole street" she smiled warmly

"What type of law is that?!" I asked annoyed

"The rules here are different from the city. It's there to make us closer to one another" she said as I  nodded

"Alright mum please invite them" I said. Obviously this was not my plan but as long as I get a chance to talk to Mr Byun or Baekhyun then it should not matter if we invite everyone.

Skip to dinner

Baekhyun was not at school the whole day, I couldn't even speak to him. I wondered why no one even cared that he wasn't there, as if he wasn't important to anyone.

I couldn't even trust sehun or any of the boys anymore, every time I tried to talk about Baekhyun they would shut me down. I know there was something odd and I'm going to find out no matter what.

Suddenly a knock at the door awoke me from my thoughts "mum the guest is here" I yelled out as mum walked down stairs

"Okay I'm coming, please be good sweetie" she said as I nodded

Mum opened the door to who I thought was going to be the guest, however I was wrong completely wrong.

In front of m stood a man dressed in black with a mask over his head. I screamed for mum to move away from the door as he started to enter the house

"Are you Ms Park?" He asked with a deep voice

"Mum stay away! Go up stairs and call the police I'll handle him" I shouted as mum nodded

"Baby I love you be safe" she cried kissing me on the cheek before running up the stairs

I look at the man as he started to laugh

"And are you Mr Park Chanyeol" he asks while he spat

"What do you want?" I ask trying to keep calm and strong in front of the unknown man

"I'm here to tell you to stop jumping into other people's business my boy. I don't want to hurt you but if you keep asking pathetic questions and snooping around I'm going to have to take force" he said

What is he even talking about? I'm not doing anything wrong? Wait is he possibly talking about Baekhyun? Is that why everyone told me to stop asking?

"Are you talking about Baekhyun?" I ask unsure

"You are cleaver my boy, yes don't go near him or speak his name to anyone. You should forget about him. He is not your business" he says

"And what if I don't do as you say?" I question

"I'll have to do some very bad things, punishment will be advice. I'm sure you don't want that" he laughs

"You can't hurt me, if you touch me I'll call the police" I yelled

"Who said anything about punishing you?" He asks

"What? Do you mean Baekhyun? You'll hurt him?" I ask in disbelief

"If you don't want that then stay away, I'll be watching you Chanyeol" he said as he walks out of the house.

I dropped to my knees. what is happening? He will hurt Baekhyun? What punishment? Why can't I talk to him or about him? What the heck is happening?

Wait then sehun, Chen, Kyungsoo, Kai, luhan, Tao, the teacher, everyone wasn't avoiding him because they don't care but they were protecting him. If they talk about Baekhyun they knew he would get punished. Why didn't they just tell me? Oh god I feel like an idiot,

But then what is wrong with Baekhyun? What is happening? Who was that guy and how is he related to Baekhyun?
