"Ya know, it's not that bad, I mean it's not like this fat mullet bitch is just stabbing everyone as he pleases." Y/n said sarcastically. "Y/N Y/L/N, principal office right now missy! That behavior is not acceptable." Mrs. Smith stated. "But stabbing children that did nothing wrong is?" She huffed as she left the room and proudly walked to the principal office. Y/n sat in the waiting room next to Richie Tozier. "What are you doing in here? I thought you were a goody two shoes." Richie stated. "Well I kind of talked trash about Henry Bowers and used 'bad language' so now I have to go in here." She replied. "What did you say exactly?" He grinned. "I called him a fat mullet bitch." She shrugged. ''That's amazing. My friends and I are going to the Quarry today after school, want to go?" Richie asked. "Oh yeah I always go there." Y/n replied. "Cool! See you there." He stated as he sat up and walked near the door, "Aren't you coming?" He asked, "Right now? I'm going to get detention." She beckoned. "You're going to get one anyways." Richie laughed. Without another word, y/n got up and left the school with Richie. They biked to the Quarry where the rest of the group were surprisingly standing at the cliff.
"Hey guys." Richie greeted. "A bit late." Stan mocked. "Sorry that was my fault, I drove over a rock and fell," Y/n laughed. The boy's eyes all widened. "Hey," Bill greeted, "Oh yeah I almost forgot, guys this is y/n, I helped her escape detention." Richie introduced. "Yeah so now I get a week of detentions, and community service, you really know how to impress someone Richie." Y/n joked as she walked over and sat on a rock. The boys watched her every move as she put her knee up, put her elbow on her knee, and set her chin on her hand. "So why are we here?" She questioned. "We're swimming, duh." Richie stated. "Oh," she replied. "What's wrong?" Stan asked. "It's nothing." Y/n replied in a quiet manner as she looked at the ground. "Skipping school too?" A voice intervened. "Go away bowers." Eddie stated annoyed. "And you have the slut with you!? Is she lending her body to you in exchange for math answers?" Henry replied. "Those rumors aren't true! Gretta is just a jerk!" Y/n defended as she stood up. Henry looked at her and walked towards her, causing her to back up the more he walked. "Did you guys know she has a phobia of water?" Henry laughed. "Stop it Bowers." She pleaded. "No." Henry stated as he shoved her off of the cliff. "AGHHHHHHHHHHH!" She screamed. Henry looked at her falling in fear as he bolted out of the Quarry.
"Guys, if she's afraid of water, than she-" "can't swim." Stan stated as he took his shirt off and jumped off the cliff. Y/n struggled as she drowned and grew unconscious. Stan swam towards her and lifted her above the water. Stan walked up the side of the cliff and made it back with the losers. "Guys... I don't know CPR." Stan stated as he set her on the floor. All of their eyes darted at Eddie. Eddie nodded as he walked to her as he put his lips to hers and did CPR. She started coughing and woke up. "Can we leave?" She asked. She had them bike over to her house. "You guys can come in, my parents are, uh," y/n stated but stopped herself. Everyone followed her in and they sat in her room. She went through her drawers to get new clothes. She pulled out a sweatshirt and shorts, including underwear and a bra plus socks. She went into the bathroom and changed. She walked out and put her stuff in the washroom. She went back into her room and sat at the desk. "So, aquaphobia?" Richie asked. Y/n nodded. "What triggered it?" Eddie asked. "I can't tell you guys. I trust you guys completely, you saved my life, but this is just really personal." She replied. "You can tell us a less detailed version of it if you want." Stan suggested. "When I was in first grade, I would always go to the river with my family and, another family. There was one kid in the other family and I'm an only child, so we always hung out. But one day at the river the kid purposely drowned me, he held my head underwater until I passed out, it was the most traumatizing thing I've ever been through, I couldn't even go into rain after that." She stated. "That's awful." Richie stated. "The kid, he was Henry Bowers, he was the only one who knew about my phobia." Y/n added. She got up and walked to the kitchen. She turned around and saw Richie, causing her to jump. "You scared me." She stated with a small laugh at the end. "I-I'm sorry about what Henry did to you. You didn't deserve it. Henry is just an awful human being to be honest, when we were in third grade he put gum in my hair and crushed my glasses." Richie stated with a grin. "That's awful." She replied, also grinning. "You know y/n, you aren't as bad as they say you are." Richie stated.
