After I got Doctor Flynn to go home and convince him it was a malfunctioning stethoscope, I fell back into the pillow and began examining my newfound ears and tail, which I made Barry pop out for me.
They were a brilliant white, tinted an ombre light gray towards the tips. My tail was large and fluffy, with the same ombre.
Jay pulled out a mirror from my bedroom chest and made me look at my eyes. They were a powerful golden, with a blue and green starburst from the pupil.
"Very chic," Alexander commented, rubbing his fingers through my honey brown hair and ears. "It suits your personality."
"Hold up." Barry interrupted abruptly. He helped me stand up. "This is going to sound really weird, but can I see.. your.. rear..?"
I tilted my head a bit. "My tail, or my butt? Because if you're asking for my bum.. I mean, Barry I love you and all, but.. you're my brother."
He shook his head, eyes open wide, face burning. "Uhm, no. I just think that.. uh.. you may be a lycan." I furrowed my eyebrows. "A what now?"
"A snow lycan," he continues, "is a rare occurrence where a jet black forest wolf turns a human as a sacrifice. I doubt that would have happened though.."
I gently take off my jacket. I roll up the sleeve on my high school carnival t-shirt to reveal the three jagged claw marks. Constantine's jaw drops.
"I'm gonna take that as a bad thing." I roll my sleeve back down and leave my jacket on the couch. "So I'm a snow lycan with a hourglass curves and gorgeous eyes and there's nothing I can do about it?"
Barry rests a hand on the back of his neck. "It sounds great in the beginning, but.. after a couple days--"
All of a sudden, my chest feels like it's being ripped apart, and a wreath of blaring white orbits around me. I want to drop to my knees, but it feels as if my spine is as stiff as a board. I want to scream but my jaw is glued shut.
Then I'm lifted in the air by five inches.
